It has 2 torx 30 screws and 2 coolant lines going to it.right on the front of the cyl head. Its not the easiest job to do as they're very tight coming off.unless you're mechanically confident I wouldn't be tampering with it unless you're getting EML issues and the egr is the cause.

What are the syptoms of a sticking EGR valve on an M47 (E90-163bhp) also should the valve move easily or not ? I not its not related to the topic but as we're discussing Egr valves i thought I would ask lol but on the topic all I'm gonna say is don't by a 320d lol wish I had went for a 6 instead of a 4 👍

Lack of low down power and EML would be the main ones I would say, maybe sluggish acceleration too.

Hi KM79, can you elaborate on this. Diagnostics show stuck valve. However, wasn't to keen on DIY clean due to tight coolant pipes. But you mention that it could be lube issue instead!

How easy it get cap and connector off (and back on)? Can components fall out? And what lube do you suggest??

Cheers.

(P.S. Sorry about being off topic - maybe deserves another thread?)
