I don't think it's going to work. He can't even communicate with Addr. 0x12. Expert mode is helpful if AIF/UIF is screwed.

Also had a customer bring a BB flash bricked ecu to me, had to replace with new... Nfs wouldn't even recover

Gugs is just a misinformed user who thinks everyone is out the F him over so he's vocal about it... Typical Brooklyner.

But he's right, it's repackaged so that its easy to install, a complete installation at that which I never charge for because it's not mine.

What he fails to understand because he can't get over the first part is that my time is not free... Regardless I didn't charge OP for my time, but hopefully I'll get a donation if he can afford it, if not, no big deal. Doesn't mean I won't help him if he ever needs my help in the future. I would even help our misinformed friend Gugs if he asked for help.

By the way, I lived on Bath and Bay 8th just East of Bath Beach Park in Brooklyn for a few years. Was a nice neighborhood when I was there.

Had this happen to me before. You will need someone with icom to help. Try contacting alex@alpine as he is the one who helped me. My problem was that my computer crashed midway through the flash. Couldn't iD edu or anything. He brought it back to life. He overnighted the icom, remote connected and was able to take care of it. Total down time was only like 2 days

Hey Op, do consult the dealer, apparently ECU is covered under emissions warranty, offcourse without telling them u flashed it ... it's in the warranty booklet

guy's...just to put it up there, I recently had a similar problem where i hit the verginize button on the MSSflash to reset the flash count on my 2003 m3 DME where I should have pressed the reset FC button!!! and as a result I corrupted my DME and converted it to a paperweight basically.

after panicking and googling until smoke came out of my computer i ended up calling to Mike (or as I call him magic Mike) from BPM sport because i was so impressed with the guy's ability on the software side of things after he tuned my E90 m3 and hoped that if he won't be able to do something like that, he can maybe direct me in the right direction and I was right.

first of, I must say I'm lucky to live close by to their HQ and Mike was kind enough to have me drop the DME same day. what i didn't know is that he dropped everything that he did to go out of his way and have a same day turnaround!!! after couple of hours i had the DME in my hands ready to be mounted back on the car!
car started right up and stayd on but when scanning for fault codes it did trough a EWS code and Mike had a remote session with me where he logged to my laptop and fixes and aligned what needed to have those cleared and they never came back.
price was fair and lower than any other option i had (like buying another DME and ignition with EWS unit)

I got the same problem with MHD Flasher. The DME does not communicate anymore.

You have a bad cable, adapter, or Android. Replace the bad component, and you will flash just fine.
