I have the same set-up, except with a PE mod. Catless and PE had too much drone. Since i don't have secondary cats i added vibrant resonators in the midpipes. Sounds perfect now.

Do you remember the part numbers from vibrant? Or the dimensions of it?

Also, is anybody know if e92 midpipes the same as e90? I have a friend who has an n55 e92 xi (resonnated midpipes) and I would like to know if we can swap our midpipes, We both have PE exhaust.

It should be vibrant 1790. I have 2 sitting at home right now. I haven't decided if I should install those or get rid of catless downpipe.

Yes they are the 1790. You won't regret installing them.

Did the vibrant resonators lower the overall tone of your exhaust note as well?

It lowers the tone a bit, but mainly takes away the loud drones and rasp.

Did adding vibrant resonators remove those pops and gurgles?

I was wondering the same thing, particularly since I have an N55 e90 x-drive, which has the stock resonated midpipes. I assume this is where one would place the vibrant resonators, if you were RWD. For x-drive, would replacing the stock resonators with the vibrant ones be an improvement? Can they be added in series anywhere?

Update: I decided to keep my catless dp on and add 2 vibrant 1790 resonators this morning. The difference is AMAZING. Resonators killed all of the rasp and 90% of the obnoxious drone.

I'm now extremely happy with my setup!!! If you're on the fence about adding these in, just do it now!!

Thanks for the update. Where did they install them? How much did it run you?

I'll get a picture of where they mounted later today. My local muffler shop charged 60 bucks. Not bad IMO since most shops wouldn't even touch my car for running catless dp.

Not really. I still hear it in D and a lot more in DS.

Here is where the shop installed it. It's hard to see exactly but pretty much the same location as what I found when searching through old threads in regards to adding resonators.

Can anyone load a sound file of the VRSF downpipe, BME PE, and the Resonators? I'm very interested in doing this but would like to hear what it sounds like first. Also, any performance loss from adding the resonators?

Anyone?! Just added the VRSF DP and she's waaaay too loud
One of the mechanics stated if you listen closely, she sounds like a turbo diesel at certain points during acceleration.

Definitely going to add a pair of resonators.... soon!

Did you order the 12" or 18" resonators?

I have the same setup VRSF + BMW PE. I added 2 Vibrant resonators and it did quiet it down a bit but drone is slowly creeping back. I'm going to check the clamps to see if something is loose.

Also, does anyone know the proper way to use the clamp? it seems self explanatory but when I was messing with it yesterday, there is a small round bump on the inner piece that maybe helps with securing the outer piece?

I just had the VRSF dp installed last night and with the PE it's definitely louder, I'll be ordering the resonators shortly.
