How does it work when your headlight is on at night? Does it transmit all the time then and garage door will open/close just by comming close to the house?

I had this for a while. Then I moved into a neighborhood that had a gate, so i upgraded to the Homelink mirror. I LOVE the homelink. So I guess if you just need a garage door opener, this will work nicely, but if you want more, go homelink mirror.

Hi
Can any of you guys help me out? I am trying to wire my flash2pass unit but getting nowhere. The wiring in my light connector is not like the examples here. I have an E90 LCI. Pic below. I tried wiring the unit between the thick brown wire (pin 4) and the white/blue wire (pin 6) but its not working. Any ideas anyone. Many thanks Chris |

Ok well I still can't get this damn thing to work.
I have tested the connections with a voltmeter and they are the correct wires, well at least they are going to +12V when the highbeams are on. The flash2pass button is working in my garage, so I am sure that side of it is ok. Is there some way to 'sync' the receiver with the transmitter that I am missing? The instructions are very light when it comes to what to do if if doesn't work and their email support has been hopeless. Any help? Thanks Chris |

Never mind - fixed it. Turned out the receiver wasn't getting enought power from the switch inputs so i wired up a 12V supply to it and all is well...

Any chance you could provide some info on the cover for the molex connector ?
Been trying to get new ones with no luck so far. All the numbers and codes printed on these parts and I can send to my local BMW shop for further investigation. Thanks
