I used to wonder how the hell Audi has been able to stay in business till I went to Chicago for a business trip. Audis were as common there as BMWs are in SoCal. They have a huge market there. I saw so many Audi there that buy the end of my 1 week visit I started to like the looks of Audis. Kinda like how you hate a song when you first hear it on the radio, but when the radio jockeys play the hell out of it you start to like it. There is nothing special about the S4 and if he moved to Chicago he would see that. The only reason why he thinks he has something rare and special is because of Audi's relatively poor sales number when compared to BMW.

I had dinner with a friend who is not on any forum this past Friday. He has a silver 335i that he bought last year and it has been his daily driver. We talk cars for a bit and one thing he mentioned that relates to this thread was "... i'm driving along minding my own business and some audi guy pulls up besides me and wants to race.." He says it has happened multiple times and each time he just ignores them (he's a mature guy and not the street racer type). So in the end he makes a generalization and says some not so kind words to these audi guys.
So it's not only you guys (e90 guys) that have issues with audi drivers .... |

dude, you got to start constructing proper sentences; can't just throw random words together like you would in an alphabet soup.

so, by your defintion, if I buy a Daewoo, I'd feel it's a rare and special car as well? since its sales record is comparatively poor next to BMW.

I am not a fanboy but if you want to go there then I guess I can be that. BMWs are better than Audis. They both go after folks in the same socio-economics class and build cars that directly compete with one another. Yet year after year BMW spanks them in sales and performance. I don't care if they cover the interiors of all of their vehicles in 24k gold and platinum. They are overpriced, don’t perform as well and are ugly. If you don’t like what I just said, and you feel like you wanna do something about it, go find the fastest free-flowing freeway in your area, blindfold yourself and then walk across it. Do this 3 times and I guarantee you will feel better retard. |

"""First off I'm not a BMW hater and I don't want this thread to turn into an Audi vs BMW flame out so please let's not go there. All I want to do is share the experience I had this past weekend. My girlfriend and I took a road trip out to Palm Springs for a little get away. As many of you in Southern California know, there are a lot of expensive cars and exoctics in Palm Springs and the surrounding area. Even so, the turning heads and comments we got on my S4 came so often that I felt like I was driving a Lambo. For example, at one very posh hotel in town where we went for dinner, the valet guy that took the car said, "hey we'll park you up front here in the VIP area". Of course I agreed. When we came out after dinner, a different valet guy that returned the car, said "man thank you so much for letting me get your car". Besides that, my girlfriend and I were just amazed at how often we caught people checking out the car while we were driving around town."""

Im not trying to hate on Audi, since I came from an S4...But, I just thought it was funny what that OP on Audizine said about his car... and I also found the title funny and how in the first sentence of his post he says that he isnt a BMW hater...which confused me, because he titled his thread "Its just a bmw"...

I just want to know why so many A4 owners see my car and state 'I'd smoke you in a race'. I ask is their car stock and they change the subject.
Must be something about working on RT 22?!?
