It is if you are an Android user with anything even remotely approaching a current phone. If you are an Apple user using the neighbor's kid's old Android tablet or your girlfriend's phone, it might not seem or be easy for whatever reason. But I have to tell you, this is by far the easiest way to flash a tune, and to data log. Hands f-ing down. Then again, I've been an Android user for a while . . . .

I've used my s6, nexus 5, and shitty "dragon touch m8" tablet. all have mhd and jb4 loaded and work fine.

I know its not MHD's fault its just frustrating trying to get a phone that is capable of this. I don't know much about androids and OTG, etc.

Oftentimes tethering and sdcard support is disabled at the kernel level too for various dumb reasons typically based on the provider. Stay away from old Verizon phones.
Thanks I just want the cheapest phone that has OTG support that I can buy just to log with. LMK if you have any ideas/suggestions!

It is easy when you have the right hardware.. I've been an apple user forever and this is about the only thing that I will ever use an android for.. sucks that they don't have iOS support yet.
