ok, thanks for the support, since they have a rubber seal gasket, there is no water leakage in addition to perfect fitment, many of the ebay sellers dont have a rubber seal gasket, so not only will water get in because of a gap, but the fitting will also be off as well, thats why its cheaper.

My buddy, who has an 08 335i, was showing me his smoked side markers (not from E92 Lighting) and he had several issues, including fitment and no gasket. He got them to work but I can tell he is unhappy with them. I am going to tell him about the E92 Lighting versions.

a rubber gasket is needed or there WILL be water leakage, and also fitting with gaps, normally they are found on Ebay for $30, just FYI.

Yup, good way to go. I did the same thing. I used Phillips LED bulbs from my local auto parts store.

I can vouch for this - had it happen twice with cheap F10-style LED side markers. I just placed an order for a set of DEPO markers through E92-Lighting

you know the reason why we never offered the F10 style side markers although we could source it many years ago was because, water leakage, no rubber liner is guaranteed water leakage over time

thanks for the support and order, and its already shipped, please keep in mind for the 2006 E92 and early 2007 E92s, we offer an innovative driver module design, we have a few variations of DTEC driver modules, each variation offers different functions, of course, we designed it exactly how we wanted it to function, since we are the only authorized DTEC reseller in the world, we are not sure about other vendors however... but good luck, if your angel eyes act funny, please go ahead and PM us and yes, we recently started to offer a clear version of the DEPO side markers, however it seems most members love the smoked on amber output. we assume its related to DOT

I have these, fitment is def off. Whoever designed these had no clue what they were doing or they would fit, its not rocket science

Wish I had found this thread before I ordered same! Exactly the same problems: Clip pops off in fender well and the body of the light is a rectangle and the hole is not.

Just ordered this set from E92-lighting.

https://www.e92-lighting.com/bmw-acc...ed-sidemarker/

Hope it is worth double the cost, but reading this thread, I am feeling pretty confident. Will post my experience when they arrive.

This seems to be a trending problem. So many people have had issues.

Yeah...and the vendor required pics to process my refund. Still has not responded.

Update: Vendor responded and they are on their way back for a refund. So there is that.

I originally put the LED bulbs in my stock side markers. The other day I got a bulb warning and 1 was out. Tried to remove the bulb holder and snapped the little plastic tab, then found the bulb was completely falling apart. The base of the bulb crumbled, almost like it had been exposed to high heat.

Ended up ordering a pair of clear from ECS, may be just taking out the bulb connector and finding some new LED bulbs.

I got them from a member hear. Anyone know the white LED bulb number off hand?
