Forget VTT, just go with Hexon or Pure.

I still think it's funny when people recommend Pure when they didnt even release them to the masses or had enough street time on the early release models for proper testing. RB turbos were great 3 years ago now everyone hates them due to smoking issues.

Do you know who pure is or what else they manufacture? They are well known for making quality products. You can recommend them based on their preliminary results in my opinion based on their track record on other platforms. But if it worries you Hexon seems like the best option then.

Regarding this platform, I have either installed, driven or owned every turbo option minus Pure and Fftec.

Unfortunately I had the misfortune of placing two orders with VTT in the past. I can attest the horror stories are true. But my personal negative experience was mild compared to the daily experiences we read about on the forums and watch on YouTube.

It wasn't until Tony crossed the line with Wedge that I decided to make his substantial number of problems public.

Question for you... Did Tony pay you for your positive comments on this thread...
You placed two orders... details about when and where please. That's actually helpful. Did it get resolved? How did it go down? No, Tony didn't pay me for positive comments, lol. Enough with the drama about "daily negative experiences" and all that -it's just unsubstantiated bullshit. I'm not re-hashing the VTT/Wedge debacle again, that's just another forum pissing contest with the majority of commenters being nut huggers of their tuner or turbo manufacturer... not super helpful. There is a truth in all of these things and I find it very rare that it's the one posted about loudest or most commonly. That's why I'm trying to discourage the "group mentality" where people get in the habit of accepting as fact, and regurgitating, emotional responses. Keep it simple and clear, what were YOUR experiences. Good or bad, let your words have weight. I'm honestly not trying to attack you, just keep stuff real. I'm sure you understand.

BTW I'm not really a fan of any of the BMW vendor (with the exception of Brentuning, who largely stay off of forums for a reason) attitudes when it comes to the current crop of tuners and turbo guys. There is no reason why we can't all have good solid tunes and good performing turbos. Remember, we all got into this because it was "fun". Let's keep it like that!
I'm not sure how my personal experiences will help you? My orders were less than a year ago. The last order I had to file a paypal dispute and eventually got my money back. But again mine were mild compared to what we see on the forums every week.

The Wedge post from last month is both recent and a prime example of the type of person you are dealing with when you buy from VTT. (2 sets of blown turbos with different tuners, under 400 miles)

His restocking thread from last week is yet another poor attempt to justify his high 20% fees compared to the normal 5% that the other turbo vendors on this forum charge.

The week before we heard about another member who waited for at least 3 months for his VTT stage 1 and to my knowledge, still hasn't received them.

The week before that I saw a new smoking set of VTT on YouTube.

I could go on and will post specific links if you would like. But don't take my word for it. Just listen to the others in this thread. I posted my feelings based on what I have seen and read. I have not suggested that he go with a particular brand. I just recommended not going with one based on several recent issues that VTT seems to be having...

I just like the fact it's still called a restocking fee when the product has not even shipped. That is called a purchase order cancellation fee. restocking means the product has to be in the customer's hands. restocking fees should only cover the cost to get the unit back to like new condition so you can resell it as brand new in box with the full warranty. restocking and PO cancellation fees are not meant to generate revenue for a business just to cover expenses in manufacturing(PO cancellation fee) and the rma process(restocking fee). this is manufacturing 101.

I mean you can make money off of restocking fees and PO cancellation fees but it's unethical. Especially with a potential 3 month waiting period.

And the wait times are even worse it sounds like on warranty repairs. This guys turbos blew up in August 2015 and VTT didn't even bother to contact him after numerous attempts by the customer. This is the second time I have heard of this complaint in less than 2 months. If it would be helpful to post the the second link, I can do that as well...
