I still think it's funny when people recommend Pure when they didnt even release them to the masses or had enough street time on the early release models for proper testing. RB turbos were great 3 years ago now everyone hates them due to smoking issues.

Do you know who pure is or what else they manufacture? They are well known for making quality products. You can recommend them based on their preliminary results in my opinion based on their track record on other platforms. But if it worries you Hexon seems like the best option then.

The Wedge post from last month is both recent and a prime example of the type of person you are dealing with when you buy from VTT. (2 sets of blown turbos with different tuners, under 400 miles) His restocking thread from last week is yet another poor attempt to justify his high 20% fees compared to the normal 5% that the other turbo vendors on this forum charge. The week before we heard about another member who waited for at least 3 months for his VTT stage 1 and to my knowledge, still hasn't received them. The week before that I saw a new smoking set of VTT on YouTube. I could go on and will post specific links if you would like. But don't take my word for it. Just listen to the others in this thread. I posted my feelings based on what I have seen and read. I have not suggested that he go with a particular brand. I just recommended not going with one based on several recent issues that VTT seems to be having... |

I just like the fact it's still called a restocking fee when the product has not even shipped. That is called a purchase order cancellation fee. restocking means the product has to be in the customer's hands. restocking fees should only cover the cost to get the unit back to like new condition so you can resell it as brand new in box with the full warranty. restocking and PO cancellation fees are not meant to generate revenue for a business just to cover expenses in manufacturing(PO cancellation fee) and the rma process(restocking fee). this is manufacturing 101.
I mean you can make money off of restocking fees and PO cancellation fees but it's unethical. Especially with a potential 3 month waiting period.

And the wait times are even worse it sounds like on warranty repairs. This guys turbos blew up in August 2015 and VTT didn't even bother to contact him after numerous attempts by the customer. This is the second time I have heard of this complaint in less than 2 months. If it would be helpful to post the the second link, I can do that as well...
