The problem with inlets is the labor involved installing them. There is not an independent shop in my area I would trust to install inlets and if estimates are right your looking at $500 to install so $279-$399 inlets become a $780-$900 mod. Also if you watch AFE N54 intake inventory on Amazon and ECS for kicks you will see they are still selling (and not for cheaply). This kit looks better for less (Carbon fiber, bigger filters). DCIs look like trash. I would like light weight wheels on my car but if they are ugly no can do. Same goes for filters which are even less important (great you've gone from 390whp to 397whp).

Well, I have the money so I think that I will buy a set. I guess that my BMS DCI will be up for sale soon.

I doubt that the performance will be better but they sure do look better than what I currently have.

What I like about these over other nicer DCI options is the piping is better laid out with large openings to the decent sized filters, no 180 degree bends like the Injen or ETS...sounds good in theory at least.

Just purchased this setup a few days ago and sold my bms DCI. Once it gets here I'll try to remember to post an update/review.

I liked this option over the options on the market and it's the best value for a CF intake setup. I also really like that the CF tubes bolt to the brace so they're not moving around.

I'm a sucker for CF as well. Goes with other cf pieces I have on my car.

Stay posted...

I'm interested. Looks good and pipes line up direct

Had afe stage 2 u intakes for tears.
Wanted the afe sealed intake but this looks better and has direct tubes no 180 degrees bends

That's a fair remark although I'm pretty confident the ETS bends are trivial at this stage of the game. The pancake of the stock inlets are far more intrusive and the ETS are still a smoothed radius bend.

If I didn't have my ETS intakes, I'd seriously consider the ECS.

Depend on the inlet system your going to go with. The Current RB and VTT inlets upgrade support traditional DCI/CAI/RAM setups. The TFT and MMP setups do not as they have their own independant setup

Got mine today and intakes look too small, didn't even install it. My BMS DCI is way bigger than these little intakes. So I already print the return label

I think they did that so if you wanted to upgrade the setup to the full intake CF enclosure you can. I haven't had any problems putting down 500+ whp on upgraded inlets and there is no signs of air restriction even with the CF enclosure

Duty cycle will be able to tell you if there is air restriction when you compare the logs before and after

From my perspective, they did that so they can sell the same product to different customers. These little intakes should fit perfectly in CAI. They didn't design it over again for how we use DCIs. I do not use air intake box because of simple fact to increase air flow, so while my plan is to increase it, why would I go with smaller intakes

I bet you would see little difference in performance if you run back to back logs comparing this intake to your BMS.

They look sweet. May sell my DCI Current setup and buy these. Super clean

And regarding the smaller filter size I don't see that being an issue.

I don't really wanna install an item that I will return, carbon parts look too thin, so don't wanna break it when tighten the hose clamps, but willing to see the comparison of two brands.

How tight do you do your hose clamps? If you're breaking CF might want to loosen it up a little..

there is a reason why stock airbox has aluminum tube insert at the each connector ends...
