As far as the patches and crazy designs are meant see any of that now. I see regular good fitting jeans. Yes they're expensive but so are other brands.
The pockets aren't as in your face either. A lot of the new style the pocket sticking matches the actually Jean color and unless looking at the tag you won't be able to even tell. As far as heavy the ones I have aren't too bad. Soft material and long lasting for use. I will admit I took hard advantage of the sale today and got myself 8 new pairs of jeans today |

There is a lot of scary stuff in this thread... True Religion??! They went out sometime back when MySpace was still around... Please don't... Diesel?? To go along with your Ed hardy / Afflicition t-shirts??
While jeans might get pricey, there is a big difference between overpaying for hype vs paying for quality... Plus, different brands will fit better on certain body types - something else to consider... And while some will retort with "where what you want / it's your money / fack fashion", op did ask in regards to fashion so the responses are from that standpoint... (However, your user name says NY - shame on you for contemplating TR jeans in the fashion Mecca (maybe outside of Paris / Milan) of the universe !!! Look at it this way... Anything John Gosselin wears or anything they sell on discount on the clearance rack at Target / Kohls etc is usually a good indicator something has long gone out of "fashion"... "Just say not to the Gap... Be better than the Gap..." |

I think for the most part a lot of people are remembering the 2005-2008 era of TR
I can say the brand is a whole new design and those crazy colors, patterns and whole ED Hardy movement is no longer part of the company. If the brand was still in that era I doubt they'd still in business and doing as well as they continue to do. As far as Target and Kohl's selling the brand. Not anywhere I could find. Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks, and the store itself still only sell the clothes. |

You asked about True Religion and I answered for you. If you don't like the opinion given, then you should probably not try and justify fashion purchases on a car forum... At the end of the day, you wear whatever makes you happy - but TR brand is long gone from fashion and it's not coming back. Saying that the brand is doing well (which is an absolute farce btw) to justify your purchase and make yourself feel better is kinda It's fashion though, what was once hot won't be or becomes diluted. Case in point, my favorite denim right now is AG (Adriana Goldschmied) and they make some quality fashionable stuff. It's become so popular over the past couple of years, it's being sought after by asian countries. So much so they are now having distribution overseas. Eventually, it will get played out as does many other things in life. Trouble with denim is, what was fashionable last year will not be this year. You think skinny jeans will be the rage forever? Once word gets out that reproduction has been twarted by lack of circulation to our members thanks to skinny jeans, straight legs / boot cut will come back to style... Remember bell bottoms?? They made a comeback a while back as well, albeit more for the ladies... At the end of the day if your ass is happy wearing TR, then wear it... But don't ask if it's fashionable, because it isn't... |

I am SUPER guilty of this. BUT, I have good reason - every once in awhile, I will take the motorcycle out in a pair of jeans. Have you smelled your clothes after going for a ride? It's a strange smell, probably a combination of exhaust fumes, environment and dead bugs. Jeans have to get washed time to time because of that, lol...

Lucky 363's for me. 2 pairs of Levi's mixed in....one deteriorated pretty quick, the other is still running strong. Recently got a pair of Mavi jeans from Nordstrom (never heard of Mavi before) and they seem pretty decent so far.
Uber expensive jeans aren't worth it to me. Most of my gear gets trashed thru what I consider normal use (jeans, shoes, sunglasses, etc...).

Buffalo by David Bitton all the way. I think they're about the best jeans out there in terms of a quality/cost ratio. Less fussy pocket designs, too. Anything over about $120 for jeans isn't getting you any higher quality. I would even argue that BKE's are solid for around $70.
