Mjn77- how many people do you have coming along and do you have a definite route planned for each day? I'm looking at firming up dates and booking hotels etc now. I may even have an M3 E93 by then as well ;-)

At the moment, its just me. Route is planned, but may change depending on time. Sometimes roads are closed due to rock slides or roadworks.

Have you booked the ferry for both going over and coming back? Also have you booked hotels or just sorting them as you go. Ive just bought an M3 which is due to be delivered on Thursday so the euro trip is looking even better than I had hoped when starting this thread! |

Ok so I'm wanting to get some details finalised and the trip planned so I have something to look forward to.
Mjn - I've had a look at your route and it sounds like a great route but circa 300 miles per day on twisty roads will be too much driving for me so I'd prefer to stick with the route I've found on the trip. The only addition I could add would be to include some of the route 500 in Germany. WindyMissile do you have any set dates when you're in france for the euros? Jim |

Hi Jim.
I have taken on a new contract and will have to work every spare day in the summer unfortunately. I nearly lost the job because of my Football plans... Have a good one! WM |

Well I'm all booked and setting off on Sunday across on the euro tunnel to return on Tuesday the following week. Have added an extra day at the end of the trip in Belgium since I'm the only one going. Staying in the Champaign region on the way down in a vineyard so will do some wine tasting no doubt. Another alteration is that the hotel on the second night is on the first mountain pass instead of in Zurich. The average cost of a room has worked out to be around £65 which I thought was good considering they're all doubles and with good ratings.
To say I'm excited is an understatement! If you guys are interested then I'll keep you posted... |
