I didn't know you have and xi, so the front center jacking point is slightly different than the RWD chassis, but it should be clearly marked. I'm sure someone with an xi can tell you where the center front jack point is. The rear jack point is the same and it is the differential housing (black cast iron) and not the aluminum cover.

I've been a lot of places in my life. One place you'll never find me is under a car supported by ramps

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Ah okay thank you! I'll search up where the jack point for the center is on the xi, and I'll go out to the garage and just take a look at the rear jack point.

I'll heed your advice on the ramps as well!

Okay, so, I have located the front jacking point. Is this correct?

I've also been able to locate and reach the oil drain plug without jacking the car up. Its going to be a lot easier with the car on jack stands of course, and when I install coilovers in the future, I'll definitely need to jack the car up to reach, but I was able to stretch my arm over to it. Seems like it would be really tough to undo the bolt with the car on the ground though.

That is it. Good luck with everything.
