You can use it to reset CBS or set them wherever you want. Look under "functions/condition based service". It's still a handy diagnostic tool though, great for reading live data and codes and resetting adaptions. Coding is only a option with the Pro model unfortunately.

Should work on XP and above. If something doesn't instal, just run in compatability mode with XP SP2

What do you mean? If you have dcan and tool32 you can easily register your battery.

Hi JustDriveIt, excellent write up !
im newbie in this and i want to do some coding fix my cic retrofit and further retrofits.
i just did exactly as written, is it normal that ncsexper is in German:-)
i have an E60, and i used the E60 daten. Am i ok.
in Final_V49_2014 zip folder, besides ncsexper, there are 2 other folders : EDIABAS and EC-APPS. what about them.
Ps : i didn't try it yet on the car since i need to read more about how it works.

Yep! My ncsexper is in German and works perfect. The key presses are the same so it's not an issue.

And for the Final_v49, I only extracted and replaced the ncsexper folder, the other two I didn't need to replace.

Hope this helps. Make sure to watch the youtube video that I linked to and I also use bmw coding tools which has instructions in the white box for every step. Pretty simple. Good luck.

For BMW coding tools, I don't ever do anything with NFS, I only do coding through NCS expert. I also have never heard of NFC so I'm not sure what an NFC folder is. Sorry about that.

Thank you for posting all of this and thank you to everyone who created the original content!!
I just bought my 2011 328 and have been looking into this for the last few hours only finding posts from 5 years ago.

Would anyone be able to suggest to me a good cable for my car? Id rather not go with the 100$ cable if possible but id really rather not screw up my car either so

OTG cable comes with a microUSB adapter as well so you can hook it up to an Android tablet/phone. I have used this also with the Carly app.
