Well thats the reality of my pictures. It shwos whats really there. Although that could be streaking from the alcohol/water wipedown.

That's not necessarily on the car. That very well could be contamination on the lens, combined with the flare (that's what it looks like to me).

If you shot this with a compact digital camera, the imaging chip is small. Therefore, lenses are very short and depth of field is tremendous when compared to a film camera or larger-chip digital (like a DSLR). Moreover, the internals of the lenses aren't nearly as flare-controlled. As a result, even a little crud, a scratch, or wipe marks on the lens are way more pronounced on a compact digital. Just a guess, but I'm betting you'd notice that if it were actually on the car.

I bet, the wheels were actually the first thing I noticed, they just look real sharp. The car looks great as well, you were able to go from extreme cut leveler to 106ff without any problems? How would you compare the extreme cut to super intensive polish?

ECL is more like Powergloss.

I didn't go exactly from ECL to 106. I mix a little OP into the ECL to allow the product to work longer and be more managable. In the end, the OP allows the ECL to finish off more uniform giving it only superficial halos and swirls.

Not sure. It very well could be some marring that could not have been removed. Although I do think I would have noticed those strays there. Especially after looking at the car directly to find out which area would be photographed well.

Superb job.

Nothing looks better than Jet Black when it is at this level of clean.

Question

I was washing the car yesterday and could see myself swirling the paint. Is there a way to spray some Z6 and get that deep shine after a wash while minimizing the swirling on Jet Black? I've used brand new super soft microfiber towels and still seem to swirl up my hood!

Try spritzing the paint with some QD or Z6 while drying. It'll save you some time, add some gloss, and help your drying media glide frictionless over the paint surface.

I don't think you were swirling the paint though. I think you were probably using too much Z6 and getting some streaking on the paint. One or two "spritz" should do a surface the size of the rear door.

I'm actually trying to do a photoshoot somewhere in Miami but would like someone else to come along with their car. Too lazy to go alone... I love the splitters though.
