Garage List
Boost Pipe

Which part(s) of the stock boost pipe do we need to replace? The red silicone hose? That one was leaking and repaired by the dealer under warranty. Replace anyway?

With any tune that disables any of the emissions equipment, we sell these tunes as use for off road only and cannot guarantee the car will pass state emissions tests. With that being said, our tune sets most of the readiness codes to NA (not available)

The red silicone hose, yes, we have seen these let go on our stage II tune and is highly recommend to be replaced with a stronger aftermarket unit.

What's the gain of Stage 3 vs. 2+? I believe I have 2+, but my car does have an IC, Forge red hose, SCR delete, and my meth kit just got installed. I am looking at running 500cc at 50-65% meth.

That sounds (and looks!) good, Bob. I'm debating driving back there at some point to just let you go whole hog on the thing. I have a good old friend in Raleigh and a few days visit would be nice. I didn't realize just the tune would be that much, so it might make sense to do that, you know, do it right once and be done with it.

Bob, is that a progressive flow? It looks like it because the torque curve is very nice, with stepped increase across the powerband. Also, has the flow been measured or is it just based on nozzle size? The reason I ask is the HP looks a little low for a true 1000cc/min at 50/50.

Thanks again for posting this kind of info.

An extra 15 - 35hp to the tire (depending on how much meth ratio & nozzle size), the stage III we increase the injector timing & boost to match the amount of meth injection. We have seen 60 - 70hp with these adjustments 380 - 390rwhp with stock turbos & meth injection.

Its the progressive flow setup, and yes, this is just off the stage II+ tune. We can get more out of meth injection (see above) but with a stage III, you need an upgraded intercooler & full exhaust to handle the extra boost & injector timing, EGTs start going up and the stock DPF is not recommend at the temps I have seen. I'll update with a dynosheet soon

Just a side note what have you seen with a 1000cc + 50/50mix?

So realistically "stage3" is stock turbos with a big nozzle meth kit

I guess I'll have to see how Jess's setup is maybe I'll change my mind in regards to meth, ha!

Again, 1000cc/min or 1000cc nozzle? Or maybe you are really asking what kind of BSFC are others seeing for methanol. Have some data that says 1.15 seemed to be a pretty conservative number. Your results are closer to 1.25, so thats why I was wondering if it was really a full 1000cc/min.

yep, 1000cc/min on a progressive setup, usually with a 200psi pump and using snow performance's 50/50mix
