I had both level and temperature sensor error.

Replaced the 10k thermoresistor in tank and temperature error is gone.

The level sensor error is still there
I think this is what you wanted? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...2#post20485362

Thought that one link in there was for level sensor, sorry.

But here is a fix - it costs $650 however. Tank rebuild.

If you haven't done so, theres SCR active tank recall which replaces all of the tank including sensors

It's not a RECALL, it's a warranty extension. Pretty much same effect, but far different from an execution standpoint.

Why would you want to bypass the level sensor?

soooooo

how about this.. with this warranty extension if one thing goes out will they replace all the stuff?? like if you tank has a bad part and lets say the scr injector gets clogged.

im sure a little something in the injector (like a small piece of paper) to get the SES light on to get the codes set.... or just tell them the heater is bad and they will replace it...

You should ask your tuner about the delete details. Some don't care if it's plugged in or not. But ask first

every sensor needed to be left plugged in so im sure the urea tank will whine the moment i unplug it. just wondering if any of the solutions above worked for anyone.

i guess ill just unplug it and prepare for the worst.

I am not deleted, but I would think with a "major" part like that if it were unplugged the light would instantly be on and it would probably put your car in limp mode...

drive around for a day or two and if it stays off I would say you are good!

Yea I guess no codes is a good sign! unless the tuner simply removed the counter from the screen but the counter is still on.

which is i think what happened here:

so I guess that means I will only truly know in 900 miles.

any way to check if the counter is active on ISTA?

well car seems to have gone into low power mode, does not accelerate past a certain rpm range. unfortunately there are no codes on ISTA or any errors on the screen the tuner must have deleted them.

This is for TRF tune.

any updates from those who figured it out would be appreciated.

Ask your tuner for info. It's hard to help you when we have no clue what they set up.

Some tunes don't care at all. I don't know how come trf doesn't know what to do for their tune. I guess just plug it back in and see if power returns.

who tuned it?

it doesn't sound like your tune is by one of the more popular tuners on this site.... it would make me nervous if the person who did reprogramming told me "they don't know"

From what I have gathered from the site is if you used one of the popular tunes always mentioned on this site you can unplug / remove all the deleted items.

#05 from which side, what amperage? Are those sensors only or pump too?

The tune was originally done by TRF tune memeber Bawareca

he took my money and didn't fix anything also had a number of issues over 6 months that we were never able to figure out.

Since then I got a tune from DUDMD and all codes went away

DEF tank removed as well as passive tank. Only thing is still plugged is the DEF transfer pump. no codes
