I am still looking around because my car is 9 years old, almost 10, and I am having a hard time justifying spending 1/10th of it's value on upgrading it's CCC system. Yes, it would be awesome to have a CIC system with all the new bells and whistles over the CCC, but at this price, I just can't pull the trigger.
I would also have to find a center console trim for the new CIC controller and pay someone to install and code it all into my vehicle. Next thing you know, I'm spending close to 2 grand! But nonetheless, tempting indeed and I will continue to monitor this tread and see what happens. Thanks for the response, Dracon!

^^^ AviatorBimmerFL expressed my same thoughts. My car is 8 years old, and this retrofit is likely more than 10% of the car's value. For awhile I was really interested in upgrading to CIC, but it's just not worth spending that much money on the car. I don't care about any of the extra features of CIC (are there any?), so it's not worth that much for a prettier display.
CCC cars are reaching the age where they are more for transportation than for a pure enthusiast. |

GLWS man... If I could find a dash that wasn't trashed or wasn't overly expensive I would hop on this.. I budgeted myself around $1k for a CIC retro from my non idrive car but seems I need to increase my budget if I ever want that to happen lol..

Been keeping my eye on this waiting for the price to come down. Is it still available, and what's the current price?

Otherwise, I'll just wind up tossing it on eBay at some point just to get rid of it. |

Price lowered to $1000 shipped as I'm just wanting to clear my garage at the moment for new M5 parts
![]() Also took a new picture of the kit with all the parts included. Last edited by Dracon; 01-24-2017 at 11:21 AM.. |
