i checked on car parts they dont seem to sell them i even typed it in the search. lowering the subframe sounds like a big job and would require a engine hoist to support the engine, i have a lot of tools but no engine hoist. would i need any special tools or air tools ? engine hoist required ?

I used a Harbor Freight engine support bar. It is described in the link I posted earlier. I would really replace the oil pan gasket at the same time if it had not been replaced already. since 80% of the work to replace is same. And it is no small amount of work. If you see oil on passenger side towards transmission bell housing at oil pan engine intersection it means it is leaking.

Yea i just went threw your whole post, it seems like this would take a lot of time. Doing the work probably wont be a problem but its the time and tools that i would need. I have an extensive amount of tools but i dont have any kind of axle ring puller or air tools etc. im pretty sure me finding my diff is going to take some time as well so ill keep an eye out for it and find a mechanic that can do the work. THANKS FOR EVERYONE HELP AND ANYMORE TIPS OR HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED !

Hello everyone, I don't know if I can ask in this post because I have a similar problem.

I have a BMW 550I xDrive 2013 I ended up getting some water, after a few days drying everything started working again but I realize that driving in a straight line has no problems but when I maneuver the symptom is exactly the same as the friend in this post.

When I turn the steering wheel somewhere the car moves 3 feet and it seems to lock if I push a little bit I hear a metal noise, the impression I have is that the 4x4 is locked as if I were in the snow.

Please ask for your help. Thanks.
