My e92 with dp and secondary kitty delete sounds amazing at WOT and is actually pretty stock sounding when cruising. You also get some nice gurgling when at low speeds decelerating and backfire sounds amazing. I love it and only complaint would be smell but it's worth it. Just prepare to smell like a go cart hahah.

I've had heaps of ca tl ess cars and none of them have smelt (other than the normal cold start car smell). Maybe the finer fuel atmoization of DI causes more NOx to be produced or something.

Does the secondary cat actually help to reduce rasp / drone ? If I run catless dp + bmw pe with secondaries in place do I still need resonators ?

The cats help reduce rasp a lot. No need to double up with resonators. Replacing cats with resonators are purely for performance.

I have an e90; catless downpipes, muffler delete, and an x pipe in place of the resonator. Drones a little at highway speeds but overall I like the sound.

Basically I just have secondary cats left but my midpipes are making a rattling noise (its not wastegate rattle) so im probably going to get a straight pipe welded in place of those, if its TOO much noise and or rasp ill probably just throw resonators on

I did it, and instantly regretted it. Imagine the worst sounding Honda Civic tractor you've ever heard

IMO using resonators is a must
how did you resolve the Honda tractor sound having the same issue rightnow

Put stock mufflers back on it
