What? Why not? This is the most stupid comment I've ever read! Of course you want the dealer to replace the turbos under warranty. Not to is beyond dumb.

Mine was denied. They said it was the exhaust flapper and they denied turbo replacement but didn't charge me. I know it's the wastegates.

I had the same thing, the guy even acted like he'd never heard of the issue before. He said, "I've been a bmw tech for 15 years and all I can hear is the flapper in the back tinking back and forth" The best part is I don't even have a flapper, I cut the mufflers off 10k ago When I told him that he said it probably caused some vibration of a heat shield farther up. That coupled with the fact that they gave my loaner to someone else when I was 13 minutes late to a service appointment I made 6 weeks in advance (in order to get a loaner). I gave up completely on my local BMW Scammership, I drive 2 hours to Sac now for better service.

Long story short find a dealer who works with you, it may take some trial and error and cost a few $$ but you will be so glad!
