go BMW, watching it right now, 100 degree down under

No traction control could mean a very exciting start as the top posters fighting for the top spot

Hamilton is pulling away from kubica. The beginning of the F1 season finds two young drivers 1 & 2. Is this sport belongs to upcoming young drivers...

Raik WOULD have won that race had he not gone off, when he went off he was only 3 seconds behind Hamilton who still had a stop to make.

This is like Americans criticizing Football (soccer) because it's boring. They say so bacause they do not know the game. I have learned to appreciate that all sports have followers for a reason, they're all exciting if you take the time to learn its challenges, peculiarities and interesting rules.

I like F1 and Nascar. I have to admit that F1 is more appealing to the viewer. However Nascar is more complex than F1 in some aspects. For example in F1 even though the racetrack has more twists, once racers figure out where to go, you'll see that everybody go the same way. Not so in Nascar - the track is wider, and cars select to go at different levels (some go up next to the wall, some go down next to grass).

Montoya, former CART and F1 driver, and now Nascar, made an interesting comparison between these sports. http://www.dawgrant.com/rant/messagetopic.asp?p=701921.

Don't criticize what you don't know. Learn more and respect others, and you'll see what you're missing. By the way, Hamilton is winning for now.

And professional wrestling is a real sport too. Coincidence that they share a common fan base?

Wow, if this is an indication of traction control-less racing, I cannot wait to see the first race in the rain. There may only be one car at the end.

Pretty wild race all over.

Hamilton did amazing, great car.
Glad to see BMW in 2nd place, wish Kubica could have finished. Still not sure what really happened to him.

Wow that was a great race.

Only 7 drivers made to the chequered flag. Sebastien got a point for not finishing +3 laps

Zero ferrari engines made it through

Would like to see more of Heidfeld and Kubica on the podium

I love the start of the seasons because the races are spaced closely. I hate when there's a month or more between races.

If it rains on Sunday, it'll make for some interesting racing.
Will show who's adjusted to life without TC.

I hope it rains in qualifying... and if not too much to ask...rain for the race too.
Without TC, it should be such a fun to watch race.

Hope this is the year for a BMW Sauber win!!!
