Did you ever find time to run a pump dyno on those?

I'm in email conversation right now with on3performance...

I don't get him some guys who have never ran it can just uneducatedly say that is not a quality kit because it's not a 10k moviv kit?!?!?

Is it proven yet? No but by no means does that not make it a hidden little gem!

Plus for 3k they still have all the options of the others as well as a ton of stuff you can take off the bill IE: intercooler if you have one.. Charge pipe.. Bov ECT.. Plus is has a really slick looking ps res as well as expansion tank!

Hate to break it to you guys if you don't already know.. With well over a decade with the BMW group.. Weather oem or after market performance.. They price everything in accordance to their markets income...

The same exact kit marketed to the Honda crowd that is 8k for a BMW is 3k for a Honda..

On3performance has a pretty decent reputation (other than their ability to meet demand) with the domestic modern muscle car turbo crowd.

I think we owe them a decent unbiased ahot

nobody is making uneducated anything about their product its out there for people to find out, first thing to pop up when you google on3performance is a forum 8 pages long about how crappy this kit is and how it uses cheap china parts on the mustangs its not the first time someone has said this about on3.

now their kit could be different now parts could be better but turbo is still china made the assemble in the us that's it i for one would love to see this kit do good for the price. but if i had to choose between on3 and jpworks id choose jps kit 3400$ shipped to make 700hp+ and not worry about craking manifolds

You know what... Once you start actually searching for the bad I kinda gotta eat crow and put my tail between my legs lol...

When you search for bad stuff you get a whole hell of a lot more than just a standard Google search lol.

So time will tell but if have to say I'd assume they didn't have a rebirth with this recent addition with the n54 lol

I'm a bit shell your right and I'm wrong

It really doesn't look like a bad kit, ive had 2 different friends run the mustang twin turbo kits and only have good things to say about it, the one has 20k on the original on3 turbo, the other is on the original turbo as well but only uses it for the strip. Id be interested to see what kind of power it will make with the correct supporting mods and tune. I may just have to find out for myself.

I dont know anyone running the On3 on a bmw. But i have 2 friends running them on fox body mustangs. The installation was not straight forward bolt on. It did require modifications. And the T bolt flanges it came with needed to be replaced. The one friend his turbo ran fine for about 2-3 months and then it blew. He has since slapped on another turbo and fine. The other is still running the turbo it came with with no issues. But i hear so many horror stories on the mustang forums about their kits.

if you are deadset on an on3 turbo kit, at the very least ditch the turbo that comes with it and get a real one. The cheap chinese turbos they use are hit and miss if they will blow up quickly, with more hits than misses.

If i ended up getting the ON3 i would definitely plan on replaceing the turbo, wg, and bov with name brand stuff but I would like to see how long it would actually last

At that point, are you really saving that much money? Swapping to a PTE (or Forced performance, garrett, tial if going higher end), tial gates, tial BOV etc that's not pocket change.

It's 100% your call but the community has been pretty consistent in recommending you not go with the cheapest option on the market. It will not function as intended for long periods of time, as has been shown on other platforms. For the same cost i'd much rather take my chances with quality hybrid twins.

$3000 for on3 with china turbo and wastegate. Or you can get jpworkz for $3400 with precision turbo and tial wastegates and has been proven to put up over 700whp.

D O C

It'll cost you twice as much time, money and frustration dealing with ANY sub par components.

I received my DOC kit three business days after ordering. THREE DAYS

comes with a fmic, charge pipe, bov, and power steering reservoir as well.

It's best to reserve our judgments on this kit until it's been installed by a customer and tuned.

The thing is we know the quality of the parts they are including, and you are better off scrapping them and getting a real turbo, BOV, Wastegate, FMIC...

Cheap Chinese turbos and accessories have been failing for decades now. Its nothing new.

And when you factor in the cost to get a real, quality turbo and wastegate, you are right at the price point of more expensive kits.

It has been, go look at the Mustang and GM forums to see the results.

If they sell their Mani for sub $800 it might be worth looking into, or even just a well priced hotside kit (read cheaper than JP by a few hundred) it might be worth it. But running no name wg's, turbos etc, you might as well go with a different brand

We're waffling over a few hundred bucks? Between *literally* the two cheapest kits for this platform? This is crazy.

I say this respectfully; if that's going to make a fundamental difference you should not buy a single turbo kit for this car. To each their own but this is just off the rails at this point.

I'm running the On3 kit and know the owner personally. Car and kit have been great and currently making over 530whp on just pump gas and little under 19lbs through an AT trans.

Zero issues aside from one injector taking a crap.

Feel free to hit me up for info or pictures!
