The base design lines from the Lexus LC500 are stolen from the BMW i8 .

They look nothing alike. Both the i8 and LF-LC concepts were unveiled in 2011, and the LF-LC looked nothing like the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept of 2009.

I really don't get how you think a front engined GT car looks similar to a rear-mid engined hybrid. But if I were to compare them, I think the Lexus looks a lot more aggressive than the i8, and has a proper engine to boot.

One might also say the i8 stole McLaren's doors.

Take a look again to the side-lines of both cars , and look to side back small window .
Basic lines are almost the same ..
I don't talk of the engines ...Just the styling (basic design lines) of both cars .
Of course it can be accidentally as wel..

I'm still on CL, because I still have 2 Lexuses. Hec, my name hasn't changed (and neither has yours or Dashocker's), we still use our CL names. LOL

And I've been at Lexus meets with Dashocker, both of us repping GS'es.

It's not meant compete with a car built for the track as the M is, it's a pure GT that happens to have high levels of performance (almost like an S-class coupe or E-class couple...probably slotting somewhere in between).

I doubt many people looking at the LC500 would be cross-shopping with something as aggressive as the M3/4 series.

Let's not go all fanboy shall we. I have owned 3 Bimmer over the last decade. So it's safe to say, I appreciate the brand. But don't confuse yourself... This car would make an F80 completely invisible in a parking lot or at the valet.
It's not all about speed or track times.

Im certain your statement is also subjective. Im by no means a BMW fanboy, but for a toyota, that is steep in my opinion. People may consider BMW to be overpriced, but there is no lesser alternative made by the same company.

I would not pay 90k for a lexus, and probably not a BMW either. At that price point Id probably be looking at Porsche and the like.

Certainly you can't have a car with more power than the halo car (LFA)! ...Well, I guess Dodge did it, so why not.

This car makes me wonder where the upcoming Supra will sit.

Knowing Lexus they probably won't give it that much power. But they could!

The thing with the LFA, Lexus always stated it was more of a "demonstration of what they can do". It was a very limited run car that is now many years old.
If they were to make an F version of this car and give it 575-600hp, great suspension and <$150k, it would be a home run!
