Unfortunately the 335d is quite the complex creature with a lot of system interdependencies. To coin another poster, the 335d is a rolling diesel experiment.

I've had good experience at Faulkner with techs Jim and Mike.

I guess I can't complain, they always took good care of me and loaners were nice

Dealer can't clear the #2 injector codes post CBU procedure, so that's now getting a replacement. I've been without the D for 2+ weeks (lot of it going back and forth waiting for approvals) but the dealer had the car all week for CBU, guessing they worked on it in spots while waiting for things and other jobs.

I'm getting itchy here, but I know others have had far longer service experiences. I plan on driving it a bit, ensuring things are good and a SES doesn't come back, then giving it some BPC love.

Called Faulkner BMW yesterday to confirm pricing and of course it wasn't exactly right. Total is $1475. Taking the car in in couple hours, they said it will take about a week then doing EGR block off and BPC tune.

3 weeks and I finally got D back. Carbon was about 2K at my dealer (covered with extended warranty) and they also replaced injector #2. I'll drive it for a few weeks then plan on consulting BPC for where to go from here. I'd like to keep it stealth but a stage 2 is likely the solution to no more CBU.

Asked for pictures of the build up but didn't get any, which is fine I was just curious as to how bad it was relatively speaking.

Finally 2 weeks later got my beast back. On a 15 minute drive didn't notice little power increase but very little so I guess maybe it wasn't too bad. I'm expecting a good change in the mpg , hopefully. Next step is egr block and JR or BPC tune
