I'm pretty sure I have 17X8.5" rims on my 2011 e90 (not X-Drive). The wheel/tire set-up would look much better with tires extending over the rim a little. Right now the rim appears to be about even with the tire.

Currently running 225/45/17 Conti run flat tires. It appears running 245/45/17 tires on it should be just fine. Any thoughts on this and run flat suggestions? New wheels are not in the budget right now...

I'd go 235/40 and just find a performance tire that runs wider. 245/45 is 0.6" taller than stock, could rub into liner and make the car feel floaty.
