I bought the lights on the German ebay (ebay.de) from Baum. They were ~185 euros, not including shipping.

As for the Passat, it's a completely different car, drivewise. I guess it's redundant for me to say it, but it's FWD and it shows (particularly in corners). Muted steering, subdued suspension, and soft seats make it a nice cruiser, though--very comfortable. And the 2.0T is pretty peppy when pushed. It's longer, hence roomier, and has an amazingly large trunk. An all-around nice car, but it's purpose is definitely different than the 3's. At least it feels that way.

Although a chiptune works wonders on a FI car. I believe it raises output to 240hp for the B6's 2 liter. Too bad it's a lease.

Thanks for the comments!
i see you got your blacklines at baum. mine were just shipped out today from there. did you have a issues with customs and paying duty on them?

Thanks again. Hey shragon, I sent you a PM about it.

As for the wheel on the avatar, it's from a picture on Alpina's website of the D3 car (http://212.227.48.10/index.php). The wheel in question is the Alpina Dynamic 19". Here is the source photograph:

It's very nice looking car, IMO.

Excuse the mess in the garage.
Hey! I know that dealer tag-frame.

One of my favorite things about the blacklines is that they don't have that silly-looking white plastic strip on the inner portion like the stock lights. When I first got my car, I tried to remove it, thinking it was some sort of bumber or protector used for shipping.

we got our cars at the same dealer. now that thats been established, you really should take off that cheap plastic lisence plate frame that advertises them for free.
