I used to use 104+ in the GN. I would get a run or 2 with some increased mph, but then it seemed to level back down. I didn't like the deposits caused by these kind of additives.

+1 I used it a couple of times and although it may work, the black soot and deposits that come out of the exhaust is not worth it in my book.....Does regular race gas also produce these deposits in the exhaust pipes???

Haven't seen anything unusual with 100 octane pump fuel (Union 76). Besides, the deposits on the plugs from the octane booster were reddish/brownish in color. I believe it can also contaminate your oil somewhat.

I'd consider adding Toulene, as it's 114 octane and safe and cheap. It's actually one of the additives already in some blends of gas:
