i know they are real and index 12, just a little concerned about coding them, are the numbers on the side still consistent now that the injector was remanufactured. also these are around 90$ on ebay with the same 1 year warranty. i paid over 150$ after tax. i am sure there is one or two places in china refurbishing these and just selling them to advanced. last year when i had an injector go out i replaced it and didn't have a chance to recode for a week, car ran fine.

I don't think Advanced is buying them from China, they have wholesales just like Rock Auto that they can get these from brand new. They should not be selling remanufacturered injectors without advertising as such.

If they are remanufacturered then the numbers might not coincide. Those numbers are printed at the main manufacturer facility once tested.

The numbers are the flow rate and something else. If they are close the car will likely run fine. I guess you'll know once you install them.

Somewhat off topic. Has anyone tried their parts department and asked about the "care package" injectors?
I know the 5 series with the n63 engine had issues with their injectors as well (same ones used in the n54). As a courtesy (i.e the injectors are crap) BMW created the "care package" and had discounted injectors. Only reason I know this is because I brought my 1 series in and they said they would use the "care package" 5 series injectors so I could get them discounted.

Are they new or remand? The scratches down at the base in one of those pics makes me think they are remans.

I don't think so. I bought mine from Tischer recently and they looked just like that. I attributed the discoloration on the injector there (what you're calling fuel) to the manufacturing process, probably heat.

I bought a used set of 8 from a wrecked X5 with the V8 engine, all index 12. I paid $400 for the injectors (shipped), $120 for the seal installation tool, and $65 for the seals and decouplers. After installing and coding them in, the engine runs like new! I need to sell the remaining two index 12 ones and the seal tool kit that I still have.

Just ordered these. Thanks for the link! I was waiting for a good deal.
Went through Ebates because they claim to give back 6% on the order. (We'll see if that pans out) Figured it was worth a shot!

Will not having these items be a problem/cost?
Guys, just bought these. Do these come with the decoupling element and seals? Can I get these from the dealer? thanks

You can get the decouplers from the dealership. They should have a ton in stock.

I don't recall specifically but I believe they were around the same price as buying them from Rock auto or auto zone. For labor and parts they will only charge me 1400 for all 6. I know 1 is bad, 2 were replaced YEARS ago under the recall and the others are original with 120k miles on them. I might just have the dealership do the work since buying OEM is around 1500 just in parts.

Mine are coming in the mail today. Should get these replaced by tonight. I will post how goes. Also for anyone that cares, I am getting 50 dollars cash back on these through ebates like I posted above. Just checked and it shows in my account. Nice little bonus savings!

All were index 12. Looked funny but must just be how they ship I don't know. Came from the factory directly and have the Bmw logo on them.

Edit: Fit perfectly and the replacement went very smooth. I could instantly see a difference as soon as I cranked the car after coding them in. Puuuurrrrs like a kitten. I don't see there being any issue with these injectors. (yet) we'll find out first thing in the morning after they sit all night.
