i don't think carolla is that bad. there have been a few clips of his radio show and he's a real gear head. he owns a really old nissan rally car. idon't remember what kind, and he owns a lot of other enthusiast oriented cars. he's not afraid to state his opinion either (clarkson). i do think he'll be watered down once he gets on national TV though

Adam Carolla?! Hahaha, the show is even more doomed than I thought.

It's ok though. I've taught my DVR to record Top Gear off BBC America so I always have a couple of episodes on the DVR. I still don't think I can wait a year or so for the episodes to hit BBC America, and will probably download the future episodes still, but by the time it hits my TV it's worth watching again. Last night I watched the season opener where they looked for the perfect driving road.

You know a car show is good when even the Wife looks forward to watching it!

If it isn't Clarkston, Hamster and May...... well.... it just isn't Top Gear.

From what I've heard from Adam Carolla, he's actually a big car nut! He went to watch LeMans last summer I think. How many Americans actually go over to Europe to see that?

Why can't they just show the same show here in America? So many people I know love Top Gear, even people who aren't really car people at all (and the ones who are, well they're fanatical about the show including myself) It would make for a startling contrast against most of the junk we have here in America and that is definitely a good thing.
