CS@MFactory; It's M Factory not M Racing; I always mix those names up.

Thanks! Do you also have an LSD?

Debating if I should install the IS rear dif w drive shaft. I know its not LSD, but for now. Its at my disposal, so why not and do the bushings at the same time. If its any better than the stock setup... Will they bolt right up?

Thanks!

LSD is getting ordered in February; January is the carbon fibre driveshaft and coilovers. I've been looking at doing a small group buy for the M Factory LSD. It's getting prepped for a track meet in April. I'm not sure if the iS rear end will bolt up; I can confirm the motor mounts bolt up but with the DocRace you'll need washers to space it. Your turbo will hit the passenger side shock tower.

I would be in to do a group buy for the LSD. Can you clarify on the spacer location with the DocRace turbo? Thanks.

Cool, when we start to get it together I'll have to post an update. I have 3 people that are game so far. On the passenger side motor mounts on the bolts you need to toss some washers on there to rotate the passenger half of the motor up some. You'll notice it when you put it together, you'll barely have enough space to slip a piece of paper between the shock tower and the turbo.

I have the wavetrac. It was between wavetrac and mfactory. The mfactory is a bit more track orientated and wavetrac more streetable. Since i daily drive mine i went wavetrac. No regrets. They're within $100 of each other.

I have a DD during the winter, but im planning to DD this E93 during the summer, so you think the wavetrac would be better for my needs?
I know the ring gear in the diff is welded on the 2008 335i, but is it similar(welded) to the 2011 IS diff which is automatic?

Which CF driveshaft and coilovers, if you don't mind me asking?

The wavetrac has a bit more slip when cornering. The mfactory locks sooner. I'm perfectly happy with the wavetrac. I have heard you can prematurely lock both wheels when cornering but this also gives a slight advantage when drag racing it. The MT diff is welded. The autos are bolted. For some reason they went to welded diffs on the MT mid year 2007. I can only guess for strength so i kept mine welded and did a full pumpkin exchange.

I'm concerned about the cf driveshafts. I heard under large hp at launch, especially with a 6mt they are prone to shattering. I'm waiting for a bit to see if these will hold up under repeated clutch drops with high hp cars.

Supposedly these can take very large amounts of power but I've heard similar concerns. I'm willing to be a guinea pig if it'll potentially hold up better than the stock one.

If you want the best unbiased info on coils, lsds, driveshafts, suspension parts, talk to Harold at HP autosport. If i was going to redo my coils it would probably be ohlins with custom springs but my kwv2 work great for the moment.

Its not the absolute power, its the sudden snap of 0 to 700rwtq that gets them.

True; mines getting more road course workouts right now than drag strip but to someone that is mainly running at the strip it'll be a bigger concern. OP, what are you using for tuning and boost control? I'm surprised I didn't hear more questions on that TBH.

I use a combination of both JB4 G5 and MHD with a Motiv flash and split second computer for the fuel rail. I thoght those lights i see on the roads that turn from red to green were for launching. No?

Lol they can be, I try to keep it at the track though once in a while if the highway is empty I'll have a bit of fun. That was the biggest appeal to me of this car, nobody expects a stock looking family sedan to have 800bhp. I'm MHD with a Wedge flash and AIC for the petrol rails with a GFB boost controller.

I havent gotten into talking about tuning yet, felt like i should get the bulk of the mechanical parts together first.

Looking to order bushings next. My car currently has 76k on it.
New engine mounts?
Definitely need the rear M3 subframe bushings.
Looking into these tranny bushings
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-uuc-part...ckage/tmepack/ if not the Rouge engineering ones

You can nail it down pretty damn close with an eTune. Get someone that'll tune remote and buy some dyno time.
