To follow up I did some more research and it seems there are 2 different part numbers so It seems they will not fit:

e90 xi: 50494-3
e92 xi: 50494-2

the part numbers are different but mashimarho said they should fit... I'm not 100% certain.

They bolt up the same. The spring rates are just slightly different.
