Honestly, you don't sound like much of a car enthusiast. You should expect to make compromises if you want to own a used luxury performance car? Pretty simple stuff.

I heard Ford leases their FiST's for like $99/month.

I hope someone is having a good laugh on my expense

yeah this is hands down the most unreliable car I've owned. When they do run they are fun tho however I think it spends more time getting repaired.

Alright alright... Jesus.

Some guys like to drive douchebag cars and call themselves enthusiasts. Some enthusiasts are douchebags no matter what car they drive.

I'll just leave this here:

Yes this car is bloody frustrating when it breaks (it's when not if) but it is a damn pleasure to drive when all is working!

I'm averaging $2.5k per year on maintenance on this damn car!

So i figured I'll also change the spark plugs and intake manifold gasket along with it. That fixed the issue but now I have a rough idle, misfire on cylinder 1. I just swapped the coils and still my car misfires. I disconnected the coils with the car running and noticed it makes no difference whether cylinder one coil is connected or disconnected.
Any idea what it could be?
Btw, the car runs great full or part throttle but just shakes bad when idling.
I bought my car at 70k because I got a great price on it and it was in fantastic condition. I ran in to some issues you are stating around 85k and did the following. Now, my car has 110k on it and runs like an absolute top:

- Walnut Blast
- Coils
- Plugs
- Replaced bad injector
- Fuel Line Cleaner every other fill up
- Oil every 5k

My fuel pump was replaced at some point before I bought the car, but haven't had any issues since. I honestly feel like preventative maintenance in those few areas will have your car running in tip top shape.

It's a 10 year old car, I would expect issues.

Ha! These cars are a pain in the ass. Hard to match the performance for the dollar but they can be taxing to the mechanically inclined and downright cruel to the uninformed. If you aren't willing to turn wrenches and endure a bit of a high maintenance relationship there are better overall packages. Personally, I love mine, it's a hoot, can't think of anything I'd want to trade it for even if you added $10k.

Since I've put this thread up, the following have broke:
Water pump is leaking
CCC failed
Left Angel eye failed
Long story short, I've been able to save lots of money over the years bc i wrenched on everything myself.
Overall, I love the car but I don't have the time to focus on maintenance anymore.
Lastly, this community is great for the most part. You guys have been tremendous in giving advice and even a helping hand. Just want to take a moment and say thank you to all on here reading this.
