Yep the bridges suck...but hey at least they paved the bridge over the Major Deegan....That thing was a horrific nightmare.....and the upper level on the GWB isnt that bad, but I usually travel it at 10:30-11 at night.

I havent taken the Verrazano in a while. Hows that thing holding up? Last time I took it like a year ago, I took the lower level and almost but the E90 up on two wheels after I hit one of those raised manhole covers that they put a lot of asphalt around when they were digging up the road.

BTW what are they doing with the belt now... Looks like there making another lane from Bay Parkway to the Bridge on the West Bound side to accommodate all the extra cars @ rush hour.

Look like they gotta take down those low bridges the go over the hwy to the bike path to make room for the extra lane.

Should take forever to get this done... and im sure the roads will be wrecked for a while.

Kinda hard to do when we had a Governor screwing $1500/hour whores on the side and a mayor adamant on getting his "lets screw the poor and not let them drive in to Manhattan, they don't belong here anyway" plan, passed.

I agree with you, it is a complete ripoff, that is why I started this thread. Granted, it most likely won't make it to Albany, but nevertheless its a decent rant.

wow get out of here! Didnt they just pave that last fall?...I remember them tearing up the road and putting all new pavement down..it was great.

Now they are tearing it up again?

WTF....NY gets more screwed up by the day. At least they didnt let that stupid congestion fee pass....25 bucks wtf...all thats going to do is just put hte city more in the hole for money cuse no one willl drive in or take the train in to go shopping anymore...businesses will suffer and the city will lose income as a result...but what does he care? $25 from each car should make up for it in his pocket right?

I seriously want to know what the fuck do these guys smoke or inject or snort....cuse some of these ideas are so outrageously rediculous. NYC has been a traffic jam since like it was ever made.....and its always going to be like that so dont bother with it.

LOL dude that thing has been in the works since before I moved back here in 98....what a miserable failure that project is....they work so damned slow that by the time they get finished with one part in 6 years, traffic has gotten so bad again that they have to take it down and just redo it again.

The BQE will never be finished...ever. Cuse the company that got the contract is going to milk that shit dry, and when it ever does finish, that company will go out of business cuse they wont be able to milk anther project like that again.

Every notice that when your driving or riding on the staten island expressway it crowns and your swaying from side to side. It sucks if your riding a bike.

Man...dont get me started!! i take the BQE to get to school in downtown Brooklyn 4 times a week....back and forth....i probably did more damage to my car on that F*cked up expressway that will never not be under repair than all the roads i drove on combined!! The worst part about it is the Gowanus...that shit kills me every time i get to the seperation between the Brookly-Battery Tunnel and those 2 lanes that lead to the Bridges!! Iv already memorized exactly where all the potholes are and which lanes to avoid and where!! AVOID THE LEFT LANE AS YOU ARE GETTING CLOSER TO THE BROOKLYN-BATTERY TUNNEL!!! they gotta speed up the process and get this shit done!!

Shit never mind the endless construction of the damn Gowanus, but they are spraying water to keep the concrete from cracking and that shit gets the freaking cars mad dirty...Its sometimes liquid form watered down concrete and that shit is a bitch to get off the wheel wheel and fenders...Its just a mess that I take 4th ave all the way to 65th street, then get on the highway...Those blowjobs at the Gowanus are really jokes, it take a couple of months to erect a building, but it takes them fuc..g this many years to complete a simple highway!!!!!!!!

Is it possible to file a complaint against NYC? For the constant mess and monetary damages due to suspension, wheel, and overall exterior detail work(wash/wax)?

I tried to file a complaint once for a bent rim... never heard back.

Imagine how fast they would throw away my claims for making my car filthy.

UPDATE

There is no more water leaking down on to the Belt Pkwy on-ramp of the Verazzano Bridge. Thank god!!!

However, the bridge roadway is still a little wet from the remaining water; So naturally you will get a sprinkle here or there.

The good news is that there are no more concrete showers or huge traffic jams to get on the bridge because of all the people that stop, right underneath that water leak.

Yea i dont believe it. The Concrete Hydration Engineer (aka the dude who sleeps while the sprinkler is on) probably had a union break and decided to turn off the water.
