Thank You jklad! I probably shouldn't have but I had him do it. Total was $800. Oil Filter Gasket, oil change, coolant flush, replace 1 leaking hose. But I checked my receipt from last year & this gasket wasn't replaced. The water pump was replaced & it's LEAKING again! The plastic on it is cracked. I talked to the BMW & since it's a BMW pump the dealership will pay parts & labor to fix it. But, will BMW fix it free if I have a cold air intake on it? Also, the panel that goes under the motor is missing. Should I get one & put it on? Does the panel cover the water pump? Thank You! Bill

Ummm...the entire big splash guard panel under your engine is missing??? Get a new one asap and throw it on. Don't want them to say it was damaged by somethin from the road and make you pay. There's really no reason drive around with that pa em removed, and could lead to the transmission panel getting torn off at high speeds (don't ask me how I know this). Make sure you buy the correct part number for your vehicle.

If it's just the little hatch for oil changes that's missing, then no big deal.

As far as cold air, its not related to water pump, but if you're worried about it then go back to stock.

Thank You jklad! LOL, "don't ask me how I know this"... ... I just called BMW & cancelled my appt & ordered the part on-line. From looking at the pic's of the part it's a pretty good size panel so not the hatch for oil changes. Actually, I didn't know it was even missing. I see what you meant by making sure I ordered the right one! I'm sure I did but I see how it'd be easy to get the wrong one! I need to get new air filters so I'll change that also... Thanks again! Wow! This site is so, so cool! A million bucks worth of knowledge here! Bill
