I'd say closer to e30 and 17 psi @ redline is around 400 whp on my car. Lol I don't have any baseline logs from stock turbo so not sure how much of an increase I personally got. But agree with all above statements. If you're willing to commit time/money to upgrading turbo might as well get the ps2

I had PS1 before they released PS2, then upgraded to PS2. Back then Pure made it easy on their PS1 customers by crediting the cost of the PS1 towards a PS2 upgrade, but I don't think they do that any more. I agree with everyone else that you would be better off skipping PS1 and saving up for the PS2. But PS1 might still be a good choice for some people I suppose. But looking at the mod list in your sig I doubt you will be one of those people, and it will cost you a bundle in additional parts and labor to upgrade to PS2 later on.
Below is a dyno comparing my PS1 and PS2. Don't pay too much attention to the numbers but look at the curves. At that time my car had upgraded FMIC and CP, stock DP, and was running crap CA 91 octane gas through stock fuel system. Both times the car was tuned by Dzenno at PTF via Cobb AP using the same general approach. One thing you will see, which I definitely did notice behind the wheel, was that even though the PS2 made more power at higher RPMs the PS1 had more torque down low. It was quicker to respond to the gas pedal at lower RPMs than the PS2. This is something that I missed when I first switched to PS2 and both I and the tuner had additional work to do thereafter to improve low end torque. Better fuel, DP, and a more aggressive tune improved the situation for me, but you already have DP and better fuel than I did so YMMV. My only other thought on the matter if anyone else is reading this is that I really see no point in running PS2 with stock DP. Most folks upgrade DP before turbo but I did it the other way around. PS2 had noticeable turbo lag until I installed a high flow cat. PS1 might be a reasonable upgrade for someone who is 100% determined to keep their stock DP. But I thought I was that guy a year or two ago. Like others have said, once you get that PS1 you WILL want a PS2! |

If only VD numbers were legit. There are WAY too many variables. Put it on a real dyno and see what happens. You are holding pretty good boost to redline with the custom MHD tune.
