for new 335i owners, here is the check list.
1. Walnut blast "carbon build cleanup" 2. Change sparkplugs and ignition coils 3. Replace Two VANOS (variable camshaft timing) solenoids. One for the intake camshaft and one for the exhaust camshaft, mounted to the front of cylinder head. They are responsible for direct oil flow to the VANOS actuator and can become restricted over time on high mileage engines 4. Get all fluids flushed 5. Oil change 6. Wheel balance & wheel alignment and check brake pads wear 7. Air-condition cleaning by either using Klima cleaner to kill bacteria and fungus cleanup "1Z Einszett Klima-Cleaner Air Conditioner Treatment " 8. Replace cabin air filter 9. Install oil catch can. 10. Get it checked for gaskets leaks 11. Get Paint correction/Detailed 12: Slam MHD Tune and install FMIC have fun |

Sliding in to this hemisphere to say welcome only because your username reminds me of my (fairly) new custom plate. Hope you enjoy yours and it's more of a BiMMER than a BuMMER!

I have a vrsf catless dp, used for 1 month, for sale. Pm me of your interested.
Also for performance parts, don't go anywhere other than here https://www.x-ph.com (mike@x-ph on here). Best prices and happy with the service For service items look go to fcp euro or try clickable automotive for a local vendor (less inventory but Lucas is a top bloke). Took a look through xph/fcp euro/ clickable automotive. Contacted Mike @ x-ph to order a Mishimoto FMIC. Will get a set of Coils/plugs from fcp euro as well. Already placed an order with BMS for Charge Pipe, Oil Catch Can, Drop in Filter, LUX H8 180 Angel Eye Upgrade(don't like the stock yellow color) Will get MHD, but have a mate who has the cables already, just need to get my own android device. Ordering eibach Pro Kit w/Koni's as well. Same suspension I had on my 320i and really like the ride. Ohh and Black kidney grills. FYI I haven't even picked up the car yet......haha Last edited by BM3Rrrr; 03-14-2017 at 01:56 AM.. |

Check out the logs of the intercoolers in this thread.
Don't worry if you can't read logs just look at the Lines and talk about iat (intake air temperature) rise and wgdc ( how hard your turbos are told to work) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1267986 Last edited by Brule; 03-14-2017 at 02:38 AM.. Reason: Change can to cant |

Welcome aboard BM3Rrrr from a fellow Perth 335i owner.
Lots of good info and sources from the guys so far. My only thing to add is consider www.clickableautomotive.com.au as they are Aussie and have flat $10 deliver Aus wide. They don't have everything but it is typically where I start when parts shopping. **Edit as Aaron already mentioned this. Carry on. On the exhaust, I had the "DIY" Performance Exhaust mod done and it sounds much better than stock (with golf tee mod). I'm sure DP and PE would be nuts. if you wanted to hear it let me know, but really anything is better than stock. I'll start a new thread, but a Perth meet and cruise should be arranged. Can't let the guys from over east have all the fun! Enjoy the new ride when it arrives. Craig |

It was done by a guy I know, in one of my mates workshop but not anywhere that I can send others unfortunately. I did speak with a guy from a muffler shop who estimated $300 but I can't remember those details.
From memory, the guys needed about 50 odd CM of 2.5 inch exhaust pipe and that was it. He also used some bandage type stuff that supposedly melts once it reaches high temp, so would make a complete seal over the welds, etc. I believe BMW PE's go for around $2,000 even second hand, so quite expensive. Sorry, I know this isn't a huge help, but let me know if you have any other questions or want to meet up to hear the *slightly louder* beast. Cheers, Craig Last edited by 1275; 03-30-2017 at 12:08 PM.. |

Easy done guys. I put up a new thread about a Perth meet but happy to let you guys hear the car whenever. I have just been informed I have a leave pass this Sunday, so if that works for you guys, we can make something happen. I'm NOR, near Wangara, but happy to go anywhere really. BM3Rrrr - when do you get the car? |
