There is no reason that the intake manifold needs to be taken off to access the injectors. They are on the opposite side of the engine. The injectors do need to be coded to the car though once installed.

Kenny's the owner and Derrick's the main mechanic. They'll have you squared away immediately at an honest price.

Tell them Jeameave (white 335i) sent you! They take amazing care of me and they're good, honest people. All work on my car has been done through them! If you're going there, I can text Derrick ahead of time to let him know what the issue is and get help as soon as you're there.
Thanks Jeameave. I've driven by this shop often. Thought they were a body shop. I'll follow up with them.

They're actually capable of doing both body and engine work. They're the only shop I trust to work on my car and do not only great work, but honest work. They've done my Valve Cover, Water Pump, fixed a Coolant Line/Expansion Tank/Transmission Cooler leak, Pads & Rotors, as well as Plugs! They're the only shop I've been to that actually treats you like family and not merely as $$$. Coming by something like that in LA is hard enough, so it's a real pleasure when you're dealing with genuine people.

Get the p/n of your injectors from realoem. Plug them in the FCP or whichever vendor site you use, and the correct part "should" show up.
To be sure, plug in your last 7 digits from your vin in the realoem site, and it will pull your car up.

Ok in that case you need this injector $104

Please go to realoem.com as suggested by doru, and type in your VIN in order to confirm your production date and the exact injector part # you need.

Injector swap for an experienced bmw mechanic is an hour job plus coding with takes all of 5 minutes. They may charge you by the book and the labor cost may be between $100-200

Look at the DIYs and assess if this is the type of work you could do at home. You can always drive the car to the mechanic for coding at a later date.

I recently had all 6 injectors replaced with index #12 and spark plugs at local Indy for $2800.

Thanks Wolf. Does it take most of the 1 hour just to get to spark plug, or does it take 1 hour to do each spark plug. So in other words, is it a 6 hour job to do 6 spark plugs?

That's almost as bad as what this mechanic wants to charge me.

WTF!?

Almost $500 Spark Plugs!

I don't even think the BMW Dealership charge that much and they always overcharge!

UPDATE: Guys, I can't believe how crooked that indy mechanic was. I took the car to the dealer and they diagnosed it as ONE ignition coil gone bad (cylinder 1). Repair cost including diagnostic ($484). The indy mechanic told me it would cost me $3,000 to replace all 6 fuel injectors! He also told me my HPFP was borderline and would go bad in future. Dealer says HPFP is fine. Avoid a company called Euro-Tech in Culver City and Marina del Rey CA for your BMW, Audi or Porsche.

Ya'll are crazy. One injector for my car is about $500...just ONE!

Surprisingly it costs more on Rockauto than FCP Euro. Go figure.

You have a 1/3854 chance of an N55 injector failing.

You still got ripped the fuck off unfortunately. A coil is like 40 bucks Aus and a 2 min install.

INJECTORS

Now that the OP has gone quiet the time has come to give my side of the story.
My name is Jose Davila founder of Euro-Tech Motors Inc.

This client came asking for an oil change and spark plug replacement. He specifically asked for premium Motul as soon he saw it on the counter. When the price was given for the Motul oil change he immediately changed his request and told us the car is not due for an oil change till November. He still requested replacement of the spark plugs and an estimate was given which was then approved. A request was made to check for faults as the car started acting up after a spirited drive for about an hour.
He stated the car was shaking and lights came on the dashboard, after stopping for a few minutes the car ran fine and drove back to town and as soon as he could he brought it to our shop for an evaluation.

Upon inspection found fault in system for #6 injector implausible signal, upon reading measuring values found resistance on #6 injector higher than the rest. Client was advised of readings and also told that at this time injector is performing within parameters of operation and there is no reason to replace it as all injectors must be replaced at the same time. Client asked cost to replace all injectors and was told around $3000.00. Both the client and I agreed to monitor the operation and I personally told him he may never see the problem again on normal driving and potentially even when driving aggressively. Client was advised if the issue happens again to bring car back for further diagnosis. He happily paid $456.33 for the spark plugs and left with a big smile.

A few days later I see very negative reviews for both of my shops all over the internet.
Client's argument was that the car started shaking 5 minutes after he left my shop and took it to a BMW dealer that is located 18 miles away from my shop. The dealer told him the problem is the #1 ignition coil and then proceeded to replace it for a cost of $484.00.

Here is where the story doesn’t add up at all. He happily paid and left my shop with a big smile, 5 minutes later the car is shaking, (IN LOS ANGELES THE AVERAGE DISTANCE Traveled IN 5 MIN IS 5 BLOCKS). He immediately could have made a u-turn and come back to my shop. Instead he claims he took the car to Nick Alexander BMW 18 miles away when there are 2 dealers within 6 miles of our shop! He never made one attempt to contact us about any issues he encountered.

Lastly is the lack of common sense.
$484.00 was paid at dealer, $456.33 was paid at my shop which sums up to $940.33
With $950.00 we could have replaced all the ignition coils and all the spark plugs together on this particular model.

When the client was notified about a possible case of defamation he threatened us with calling several TV networks and filing a class action lawsuit against us.
