Looks like it has much better features than BMW NBT.. Android maps are much much better than BMW maps. Allows Torque so you can pull up errocodes from the menu. Allows easy retro fit of back up camera and no coding required. Easier to install too.

That's the one. Retains factory Sirius XM and supports L7 as well. Damn, that's tempting.

That is a seriously impressive kit! I'd like to see how "solid" it physically feels in the dash in person. From the pictures though, it seems great.

Has anyone put the avin system in their car? Also, is there any promotion from bmwretrofit (black friday perhaps) that might get their system closer to the same price point??

So a few complaints about the Avin is that the volume doesn't get very loud at all, this is the e90 kit that replaces iDrive. No idea about the one above.

I was about to go for an EVO2 retrofit, but this by far is the best aftermarket nav I've ever seen! Easy install, and you keep all of the original features. That's so cool!

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. I've installed both NBT, and NBT EVO units, I've also used eNBT adapters from BimmerRetrofit, and BMW Custom Retrofit Garage. I found that adapters from both worked pretty well, but to me the ones from BMW Custom Retrofit Garage work just a little better - for example, I was never able to get the Pathway Lighting setting to work with the BimmerRetrofit adapter, but it works with the one from Custom Retrofit Garage. Not a big deal, but it's something. Plus, BimmerRetrofit adapters are locked to a single car, you can't swap the adapter to another car down the road, with the Custom Retrofit Garage adapters, that's not a problem.

What I meant was has anyone installed the f series navigation in a e90? i never really liked the double hump that the e90 has.... so I dont have navigation. However I do want to put it in... however I want to put the f series navigation in. I wante to know who did it and how difficult it was... I know there is some custom work involved.

The coding work was done by BimmerRetrofit, but I installed everything myself. It wasn't difficult, but I followed the install/repair/replace instructions in the BMW software (DIS) and also used my Bentley manual as a reference. Total retrofit time was over three days, but working about 3-4 hours a day, with lots of breaks, lots of referring to Bentley & DIS, and enjoying the process all the while. I now have full functioning Apple CarPlay, iDrive, BMW Apps, Bluetooth, VideoInMotion, Msport power monitors (live/virtual hp & tq), etc. While I installed the physical rear view camera w/dynamic lines, I still need to route the lines through the trunk hinge boot.

It is the non-touch screen but *does* have the touch wheel. Given the location of the E90 screen, I personally found it to be easier to navigate/deal with the touchwheel than with the touchscreen while driving.
