Thank you!

I have emailed their sales team every page of my service book (with entries) so if they are happy with it I will be taking it out .

That's a good idea, I was tad uneasy when I took it out at first as I did it over the phone, the salesman was very chilled about it all, all my questions were met with "yeah it will be fine" and they didn't ask for any history or receipts which I thought was strange.

When the issue became apparent with the DSC I was shitting myself as although they said it will be fine, I never had anything in writing. All turned out great in the end.

I'm in the same boat, which is why I want it in writing. I don't have any invoices for the last few services so want them to say its ok based on what I have.

They will happily take your money without checking, because when a claim comes about and you dont meet the requirements, they will reject it and cancel your policy, pocketing the x amount of months premium.

I am hopeful they come back to me ASAP as I want to take it out.

I have just purchased BMW Insured Comprehensive Warranty after a bit of a cumbersome back and forth with the sales team (nearly 2 weeks!!).

I also saw here there they say they cover wear and tear of covered items up to 100,000 miles... I wonder how they plan to wriggle out of that?

Good choice, I had bmw warranty on my 540i & it was excellent.
I just had a quick look at getting warranty on my old bus & was offered Driveline with emergency service for £924 a year with £100 excess or £734 with £250 & mines done 105000 miles

Thanks.

That's not too bad. Gutted my car is just a shade over 60K.

Mine is £59.xx a month comprehensive with no BMW assistance and £250 excess.

Can you advise how diagnostic works. If the claim is successful do they cover diags? Seems unfair I should have to pay lets say £300 (3 hours diags) to fix an insured component?

Ah ok.

And then if it's not covered you pay the diags and repairs? If you authorize the repairs of course.

Ah thats good!

I was worried, for example, if it takes them 3 hours to diagnose/prove there is an issue, its not fair I get stung with it.

Especially when 9/10 we can diagnose them ourselves with the codes, symptoms and google lol!
