The power was good for the time though.
Here's my thread:

did active autowerke tell you if that was the r7 map or did they tell you it was a custom tune for the downpipes? i ask this because i called active today after reading about people with downpipe xede maps and so forth, however active said they couldn't do a custom tune for the downpipes, only the r7 map which they told me improves something with the fuel, also saying that it would only show minimal gains in power.

Every tuner wants their cut; especially when there is a specific map for a customer that is not being sold to everyone.

Those both involved hardware as well. Bad analogy?

Not in my mind.
There's no way that a couple of wires and a couple of resistors costs 150 bucks. Yet, people paid. So, the 150 was due to that and the 250 was for a programmer to run extra tests on DPs. One you are paying for hardware and another you are paying for labor.

Yes, I think that it's a load of crap that AA charging this outrageous price, but you cannot even think that they are the only ones trying to make an extra dollar.

I'm assuming that they listened to me then because I told them about how bad the DP map was. It made more power but the drivability sucked.

I have V3 now on an otherwise stock car. If I decide to install DPs tomorrow, a new map won't cost me a thing. Should the owner of a Helix Attache feel they need a new map, they will not be charged either. JB3 seems to be the same too. Your comparing apples to hamburgers.

You don't agree with me.
That's fine, but there's pieces that you aren't thinking about.

You must have started with V3. Did you?
What if you started with V2? Let's say that you did.
You have a V2 and say that you want a DP map.
You're waiting for the map and nothing.
Then finally, Shiv says that he has a DP map but the only way you can get it is by getting V3. Now you have to pay for your DP map by purchasing V3.
Many with V2 were waiting for the DP maps.
If you searched around you will see all of the people asking and bugging him for it. Well, why would he come out with a free DP map for V2 when he could charge for it?

Watch, you'll see. The race map will need some new harness which will be nothing but a different risistor or one extra wire. This will be the new and improved V4.
That will be another 100 bucks.
If you don't get it now, then it's useless.

I'm gonna go eat an apple now..I mean a hamburger..Oh, I can't make up my mind!

No I started with V1. With every version of Procede, newer features were added. Bottom line is NO other tuner sells maps only. Not Vishnu, Helix, or Bms. I guess We'll agree to disagree. Enjoy your meal.
