Or maybe just a taller 5th and 6th.

Eh, I wouldn't mind a 7th gear. The Corvette and the 911 both have it, and having driven a manual C7, it's kind of nice for high speed cruising.

Keep the rest of the ratios the same and toss a higher 7th gear in there to bump the RPMs down for cruising at 90-100.

I definitely wouldn't have minded it during my ED. Cruising at 4-5k+ RPMs on the unrestricted sections of the Autobahn eats up that expensive fuel quick.

Who the hell is stupid enough to talk cars with men? Women look at them so differently (stitchings= cracks in which the puke flows, or the place where the crayon pieces end up in. It is a mystery who is the source of all the crayons found in cars. Hp= how cold milk will be in the end of the transport route/ how big the speeding ticket will be when you once again lose your shit at home. Exterior = a thing you always have to ignore. Tuning= a reason why men should not have licenses. Aerodynamics = where the mysteriously appearing coffee mug you definitely didn't leave on the roof lands. Safety= don't crash. Kids= unfortunate reason to have a car and sadly the reason why someone is making millions with the crayon smuggling industry....)

Honestly, i miss Peter so much still I feel like im cheating when i try to get even mildly interested in any aspect of any car. Not all women, but i have mastered the art of being pathetic when it comes to things i give a name to.

My first 6 speed was in a VW and I almost always skipped 5th gear as it was so close to 6th. I still dropped to 3rd to pass on the highway. Same is true in both my BMWs.

I have never driven a 7 speed manual. Unless 7th gear is a big arsed over-drive, then what is the point?

Discuss...
My MS6 could use a 7th gear. I'm around 3k cruising on the highway.

Yes. The M6 is perfect with its 7 speed SMG and the i8 needs another gear. #6isnotenough
