I think this is a pretty solid list of cars on the "lower end" of the spectrum

All of those listed are fine .... if you NEVER plan to drive them.
If you're going to drive them, then the depreciation will kill any increase in value. Best then would be a 2-3 year old CPO, and drive it until it won't go another mile. |

I was joking, but S2000 is doing a fantastic job of holding value.

My buddy just gets cheap craigslist specials and sell them for more a week later. Its not a lot of money per car but there is a lot of them and that money builds up quick. It a quantity over quality thing. Though he runs into desirable muscle cars quite a bit lately. He probably gets $20k profit a year doing that. So no need in waiting 10 years for some kind of gain.

I also think, depending on how many actually get built (maybe too many) that the recent crop of over-the-top HP cars like the Demon, Hellcat, even the GT350 and upcoming GT500 might be valuable because you have to know that in 10-15 years (or less) the concept of a 6,7,800HP gas engine will be long gone. NO ONE will be building cars like that. |

Aside from the taxes, this is the other problem I would have as well.

I shouldn't be telling you this, but I like you and want to give you a competitive edge. It's actually going to be the 2015 M235i, Alpine White with Coral Red interior. I'd be willing to sell it an investor for the same price I bought it for, a few years back.
You're welcome. Last edited by pz619; 01-23-2018 at 07:15 PM.. |

don't even get me started on the 964... i used to love them until they started becoming RicerWideBody vehicles. singer does it well and preserves the original inent and tastes of the porsche designers. the 348 is the 996 of the ferrari world. it is hated by some and unappreciated by many however it will find a niche market and is currently a very affordable vehicle to get into... i would add the 996t since it is probably the most accessible high output porsche option you can get into currently and have a lot of fun with it with minimal downside providing maintained well and not abused.
