With BigBoost dropping their prices below the $3,000 mark for a kit with downpipe and chargepipe (which the VTT N55 kit doesn't seem to require), this should get pretty interesting. This is either going to drive Stage 2 offerings below $2,000 or make them obsolete.

Looks like VTT has already dropped the price of their stage 2 offering to $2,199 and gotten rid of the stage 2 ball bearing option entirely.

I saw that.

That means you can now get an S2 turbo for under $3K (with the core charge).

That, by itself, is very tempting. If I knew VTT would give some sort of trade-in credit towards the cast manifold options, I might buy one right now.

As it is, I may just end up getting a VTT S1 to hold me over while these new options are coming out.

Even without a trade-in credit, I'm pretty sure you could get a 50% return selling a lightly-used S1 on the forums.

If the direct replacement kits work as described they will fit RHD cars. We would just need to use our rhd specific DP’s etc.

That’s what he claims! We will see. I’m hoping at least compare with pure stage 2 as this comes with no downpipe allowing you to go factory which is a plus plus. Speed and Big come with downpipes. Non catted down pipes that is.
I am hoping they come out with this for the f30 sometime within Their stated “Q4 last 3 months of this year.”

Man I just hate the restricted high back pressure tiny stock manifold and turbo setup.

I think this will be a good product. Friend of mines has the Twin Turbo kit of VTTs for his N54 335i going on soon.
