Sorry...kinda off topic and not helping the sale much....but why do some of you guys like the BB Curve better than the iphone? I'm trying to decide between the two right now.

Can't wait to finally see a iPhone on 3G...instead of the "way too slow" edge network...I had one for a week before returning it...apart from the "Edge" problem...the other problem was compared to my verizon phone, more dropped calls and no coverage in parts of Maryland (where I go visit parents/family)...around the NY metro area, they're about equal...

I *LOATHED* EDGE! That's why I sold my iPhone, and plan on getting the 3G.

Everything else was great, especially when connected to a Wi-Fi source.

Anyone following the WWDC? supposedly the new 8GB iphone will be....$199!!!! $299 for the 16gb. Steve Jobs said that a lot of people didn't buy the first iphone because it was priced too high (ahem...Sal...I hope you sold yours...maybe you should consider that $150 bid above)

im kidna in the same boat as you so i will do a quick breakdown for you from what i know... lol

- no touchscreen keyboard = better typing email or msgs (especially for businness)
- better application (rather more useful ones)
- constantly updates u on email (instead of iphone which either checks every 15 minutes or u have to press mail to check it urself)

btw i feel like a kid holding an iphone in my hand plus i dont need the 8GB of music when i already have an ipod.

those 3 alone makes me get the curve over iphone

The new iPhone is supposed to have "push" email. The other two I agree with.

I've had very few problems with AT&T service here in Philly, unlike Sprint which pretty much bites.

As for better applications, the new iphone SDK and the opening of their new online app store in July has attracted many fortune 500 companies and their developers. If you watch the videos of the conference yesterday, companies (one of them being ebay) demonstrated some of the applications being built. It looks like there will be a sh*tload of apps that will be available. Folks with the itouch can even use the apps. And as someone mentioned earlier, the new software will have the PUSH feature. Emails and IM messages will arrive in real time without you having to retrieve it yourself.

One app that was demonstrated used the location based service (GPS) to locate address book contacts on a map. Now instead of posting in the e90/92 sightings thread, you can actually see if a fellow e90poster is driving around in your vicinity!

1. AT&T is a great carrier. It won't beat verzion, but if anything, it will nearly match its signal quality. I've had it for 5 months and I haven't had one issue since.

2. Using the iphone as an mp3 player is not a problem at all. I use it in my car, at work, at home. It hasn't died on me once. My iPhone has great battery life, and the new one is said to have even better life.

3. A BB Curve will be better for business because of its keyboard and its applications. The iPhone will have the app store along with the ME Exchange. BUT one must realize that the iPhone itself is NOT a smartphone like a Blackberry. With the new applications, it may turn into one, but as of now, i consider it as a high-end phone. Not one that should be used in a business setting.

As a phone, you can't go wrong with the iPhone. It's faster than before, it now has better features, better battery life, AND it's HALF the price as the old one.

And the iPhone paired with the 6FL in my car + bluetooth: convergence heaven. LOVE IT!!!
