I've had the base RB Turbos for my MHD Stage 2+ tuned 335i Coupe for 13 months now. Originally I got them because my 250k mile OEM turbos were smoking like a house on fire.
The car is only used for drifting, does 0 time on public roads. RB turbos are amazing. I just upgraded to big inlets and big outlet two months ago and now I'm making too much power for my stock LPFP. I'm going to go to a Fuel-It stage 2 bucketless LPFP next week. Thanks Rob!

I've had my car since it's new... this is the 3rd set of turbos (but only the 1st set of the 2nd brand) on my car....

I'm not trying to say they are better/faster than anyone else... not trying to prove anything...

I've got 80k miles on the car... about 10k miles on these... I like them every bit as much as the last brand... and they are holding up...

You can bench race and compare dynos and 1/4 mile times with your automatic transmission with someone else....

I drive a manual, it's probably a little slower in the 1/4 than some other cars... but I don't care cause it's fun...

I like my RB Next Gens cause my car is still running, and it's fun..

I assume if I can drop stock M5s... I'm at over 500hp.. but I really don't care if it's 525 or 575... traction even with the LSD is a problem... that's enough for me....

As mentioned.. the main point was to just give a shout out to Rob for his support and time he took with me.... and that the turbos are still working great... back to enjoying driving .... more fun than bench racing.. there's enough dyno charts out there from others I'm sure.... (besides.. I never did a baseline... so... no matter what I couldn't show you an increase from the same dyno)

You don't really have to attack the post as useless.. who cares if I haven't posted since 2013... Still had my car since 2007 and modded the crap out of it like many of the rest of us here.... And I've now dealt with two different brands of turbo manufactures... which is more than most of us here.

Just trying to thank someone for a job well done.
3rd set of turbos in 80,000 miles?? Why are you going through them so fast? I've got 100k on my 07' 335i and I'm still running the originals.

Maybe he's using pizza grease instead of 5w-40

I've got 169500 on my OEM turbos, but admittedly they are smoking and I have to run Liqui Moly engine additive as well as have the wastegates cranked to 50% on MHD to minimize the smoke.

I'll be changing them out to RB 1's in early April.

What do the RB's cost vs a set of stock replacement turbos? Do the RB's make more power?

It all depends on what setup you go with. They offer anything from a stock rebuild to a 700+whp setup.

A year ago, cheapest new OEM replacements I could find was $1500. The base RB Turbos + installation kit was $1250 for me after returning my cores. They should take 20lbs of boost which is not something you want to do with OEM turbos.

Shoutout to RBTurbo. I purchased some RBOEMs to replace my worn out stockers. Rob's communication, advice, and help was prompt, professional, and on point. The rebuilt
turbos arrived meticulously clean along with a balance sheet. I installed them and they have worked flawlessly. I received my core refund promptly and am a super happy customer.

yep definitely trustworthy

no offense op, it helps to provide some actual info if you want to actually review these things. maybe it helps to know what turbos you actually have on your car, for starter...
got to say I kind of agree, to post a review and not say what you had before just to say they are better and to be vage on the CCV , etc kind of weird
And to say you beat a E60 M5.... I believe you as I have one also , but before you pat yourself on the back my M5 doesn't start pulling HARD until I am over 100 MPH. they are weird like that.. not quick but they are fast. My 335I will out pull my M5 from light to light any day but I would not trust my 335I at 155 MPH, etc
don't get me wrong I am not trying to beat up on the O.P. , just think about it a E60 M5 weight is a bit more than a 335I and I would think a freeway shoot out say under a 100 MPH it would only take a 335I with 400 plus to take a 500 Hp M5

Call up Rob at the shop and ask him. That's the cool thing about buying RB turbos....you can actually call the guy who's building them for you. Rob will tell you when they will ship.....call him.

December 21st he received my payment
February 8th he shipped them out.

He kept me up to date on everything, and would answer anything I asked, so I highly recommend his customer service.

I don't think there is any other turbo company out there where you can just call up the guy who builds them....and talk to him. Most of the N54 turbos are built in some huge manufacturing facility in China....good luck calling them up.
