you probably know this already, but isn't citrus wash the stuff you have to be very careful diluting ? many use it at a high dilution ratio to strip wax and sealant.

Yeah the CWG has to be diluted mucho for wax safety. In the spring and fall I go stronger on the wash, then polish-seal-wax.

As for those griots products I use some of those too. I've used their speed shine in the past. I still use their wheel cleaner. As we know, this goes by pretty quick with the hellish dusting.

I'd avoid using CG CWG as your regular wash. It's used for detail jobs because it's so harsh. CG Maxi suds is good for that. There were a few other ones listed in a thread before too.

it's supposed to deny dirt into your wash mitt when you leave the mitt in the bucket. the mitt will sink to the bottom and hit the grit guard, denying dirt from sticking to your mitt. because a mitt WILL sink, the grit guard WILL work

however, the grit guard won't prevent dirt from whirling around in the water when you dunk your mitt in the bucket.

i don't leave my mitt in the bucket, but let it hang over the buckets edge so i have no need for a grit guard.

I use a sponge instead and after each section I clean both sides with a pressure washer to rinse any loose dirt...takes a bit longer but its worth it. Seems to work really good so far since I had my car

any opinions?

+1 when washing i always have the hose / nozzle in my left hand, apply water to a panel and following immediately behind w/ my mitt. then hose off mitt b4 getting more more suds, IMO this is better then a rinse bucket b/c the pressure from the water better rinses the mitt.

Wash: Meg Hyper Wash
Wash mit, two bucket method.

I clean the wheels/tires/exhaust tips first and then the paint, low pressure rinse and then dry and touch up with Meg Final Inspection and Hyper Dressing on the tires. I typically do it twice a week and then touch ups in between.

Ill keep this simple for you and it works great.
IMPORTANT!!!!!- Buy QUALITY stuff!!!
I use the 2 bucket method and gently spray/wash down the car, spray the wheels with your favorite cleaner, I recommend purple power for oem treated wheels.
Soak the WOOL mitt and start from the top down and spray the wheels as you go.
then I use a large waffle weave MF towell from Excel Detail and follow it with an associate towell to pick up the water left behind..i use various mf towels to get all the jambs, wheels and stuff

Everyone has his/her own method, whats truly important is the quality of products you use!!!

Go here
buy the Monterey and the Riptide. The monterey will pick up the majority of the water follow up with the Riptide. It took me a little while to get used to drying with MF towels but they work GREAT! buy a good quality wool mitt, be gentle and your car wash will be virtually scratchless!!!
