People... What do you think Terry is trying to do.... Make MONEY!!!!!!!! Thats the same thing I am doing and all of you are doing!!! Well I am at work now pretending to be working but thats another story..

Sure DIY is 80-100 bux depending on what route you go. I don't think paying 30-40 bux for the convenience of a kit delivered to your door with all the parts you need is that mind boggling. Now 100 -110 bux is another story, but in the end its what someone values their time. If you have the time you DIY if the extra 30-40 bux of Terry's kit saves you a few hours of travelling and getting the parts together, and you can spend that with your family, working, or doing anything else, then for some its money well spent..

In the end Terry ans Shiv aren't forcing you to do anything......

Great kit Terry and Rick.. Will be ordering shortly as I need to get a solenoid kit for my JB2 as well so I might as well group em together..

would the sound of the spooling of the turbos be equivalent to the original single bms intake or louder/quieter because its dual?

I love how the single bms intake sounds but this one looks way better. The single bms intake makes the engine look empty since its small and replaces the whole filter box.

It is a tad louder, mostly because they sit higher and have the inverted cone openings. But the difference is small in my opinion. They do defiantly fill up the engine bay more.

I think the best heatshield, would be one that tries to block off the heat from your headers.

I am not sure if that shield would fit... people have done tests and it really doesn't make a difference on the AIT's... but you are welcome to try it

The problem is that once the air goes through the turbos, and then through the intercooler, the starting temp isnt as much of a factor anymore... which is why these setups make good power. Any additional heat is offset by the turbos not having to work as hard to pull air through the restrictive OEM box.

Ok, the reason i said that because the Engine gets so freakinn' hot you can cook eggs on the hood ! rofl and i just imagined the cone filters in there would get it bad! lol' but as you explained and a few others , seems to be O.K on AIT's...

This will always be a debate. The bottom line is that people are seperated down the middle on which is better. The dyno's show both are identical in power and Terry has done some testing looking at the IAT's using the OBDII port. Basically, the difference is negligable IMO between a CAI and Intake. Again, not all agree.

I think it would look better under the hood. Would you position them on top or bottom near the engine.

Someone on the Honda web made the analogy that air traveling into the engine would not be affected so much when the vehicle is up to speed. (Honda connects a coolant line to the intake of the S2000 for some crazy reason and some of the S2000 owners bypass it thinking that it improves HP but probably Not!) Think about it in these terms...when you wash your car on a hot day the cold water from the house purges hot water from the hose (this is nice to fill your bucket) and eventually the Hot water starts to get cold and even though the sun is barreling down on the dark green hose the water is still cold and takes plenty of time to reheat. So I guess that in the thermal dynamics world there would be a benefit to the CIA. Moving nice cool air into the compartment after the car is moving would probably help and improve performance. However, I think some type of compartment would be nice to keep fresh cool air channeled to the proper area of the dual filters. Seems like the heat radiating upward into the filters would take much longer to purge out of the engine bay but it is probably better that the stock configuration. Right?
