Hey Guys,
I just sent a swatch from the e92 brochure of saddle brown to mod bargains. He will match it to the closest color he has. The match is not guaranteed, but I figure I give it a shot. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130932 I will let you know once he receives the swatch. |

James at **********s received the swatch for the saddle brown. He is awaiting to get a match from his distributor. I am stoked as I just got my old school Momo shift knob. I will let you guys know as soon as there is a match.

Looks like the distributor is having trouble matching Saddle Brown exactly. I have requested that James************ try and take a pic of the swatch on top of the distributors leather stock. Worst comes to worst, we can try getting a 5th person and go with Leather Z.

Been busy at work, will check my email to see what **********s says. Otherwise, I do not splitting the cost of the 5th one.

I found 4 places this evening that sell BMW leather in Saddle Brown.
Awaiting prices on buying the leather. I have someone local who is very highly skilled in customer leather/upholstry work ... Once I get the leather prices, I'll calculate out the total cost and how many I can get from the Leather ... and go from there. Stay tuned. |

Ok,
I can buy 1/2 a hide of BMW Saddle Brown Leather .... The price is approx $185.00 for 23 sq ft (+ shipping) takes approx. 10-15 days for me to recieve it. If I can get some guys into this, I will buy this 1/2 hide, have a brake boot/shift boot made and figure out a total cost .... should be too bad at all. I'm assuming 23 sq ft will make quite a number of these. Failing any interest, I can buyu it per sq inch (which is more expensive by double), and I will just have my own made Please let me know, and I will move forward. |

Yep, Real BMW leather
I'm buying enough to make 2 sets of shift boot and brake boots ... so hang tight. Once I know the finished cost, and they are done, I'll let you know. I'm hoping to have them done for under 130 each ... but your not obligated if it comes in higher. The more people the merrier, and the cheaper they would be ... but I cannot wait forever, so I've gone ahead with a leather order, which is enough for 2. KWAKR738 - You get first dibs on 2 of 2 Everyone else can just sit back, wait, then drool ... |
