Thanks for sharing. PR coils are on my list to look at more closely when I get around to a turbo upgrade. Not so sure after watching the video...the fitment is pretty janky with the stock air box and engine cover.

That's my video - and yes it most certainly is janky as frig. However Justin w/ Twisted Tuning shared some pictures on my thread @ SS of how he modified the brackets to improve fitment. I'll probably be trying that later this week to see how that goes. Will still probably end up needing an aftermarket intake though.

Have you been in the clear on voltage spikes since the PR coil install? I've been beating on mine for about 6 weeks with OEM coils and no codes have returned.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1532881 Per Robert@PR, coils must be mounted with PR logo facing in on N55 brackets for added clearance.

Still not meant to clear stock intake though, he did mention that.

So AJL. How has the car been running. Have you had a chance to push it? Have the overvoltage/BSD errors disappeared?

Further *mhm* "testing" is required before I'm confident the problem is resolved. Most of my driving is to and from work every day, so I don't get a chance to really let 'er rip that often. I'm going for a drive through the country this weekend so I'll have a good chance to try again.

Did you ever fix it? PR coils have been running fine for 6 months.
My car limps after misfires. BSD codes. Voltage below 12v until restarting engine.

It's still on-going.
From what I have gathered the causes have been: 1. Most people had fake/incorrect Delphi coils with poor grounding that did not hold up under WOT. 2. Alternator went bad. It could have happened because of faulty coils. PR coils are no fake Delphi's but we never know. At least mines have been working fine for 6 months. 3. Intelligent Battery Sensor has gone bad. 4. Rusted connector/cable from alternator to ECU? Not sure but plausible. Possible damage to voltage regulator inside ECU. 5. If all above are false something that's within BSD must have gone bad.
