Sema isn't going to pay the fight for anyone. I have watched people pay for repairs on the bluetooth system for non-approved by BMW phones and that's minor compared to what an amp will do! SEMA isn't helping people with that problem either. The manufactures fighting/blaming the aftermarket is only going to get worse.

And if he has not checked that out (altenator output, length to ground, doesn't know his fuse ratings, wire gauge etc. etc.) then he won't have a chance in fighting this, with or without an attorney.

With everything mentioned above.....maybe a capacitor would have helped.

I always had aftermarket systems in all my cars. This is my first BMW, and this is the first time I left the ICE stock.

I have always had very good service from BMW of Riverside. They even replaced the front leather seat cover on my old Z3 when I F..K it up myself. I would say if they went as far as to refuse warrenty you must of really F..K it up! Besides whay would you want to put some aftermarket SH.T in a beutiful German automobile

All it was was a sub and amp, nothing to ridiculous, just a 10in sub and a amp that like pushes out 800 watts. I mean ive had it over a year now and i really think the heat in vegas might have made it had a power surge. But the thing that upsets me is tha the SA tells me to remove it and everything will be ok, and when i do, after leaving it for an hour(even though he told me it wouldnt even be looked at till the following monday, fourth of july weekend) tells me they have to void it. Thats kinda bs. I had have some good times there, but only with one good SA, Josh something. Ive had mutiple bad experiences with two others that whos names im not gonna mention.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are having problems there. Did you buy you car there? I have heard that makes a difference. I just looked in my file and seems my last trip in Amy Moreno was my SA. Before that it was Fernando Medina. Its been a while since I had a need to go in for service, my 330i has only 35,000, although we have had several warrenty issues since we bought it in March of 06. Software upgrade, and both front door locks stopped working on two seperate occasions. Every time that we had to bring it in thought we got a loaner car and all but once it was a 3 series. The one time my wife brought it in she got a big ol Cadillac
